It's been like this in beta, but I guess I didn't post it anywhere since the forums were down. Just checked today and it still happens.
Basically if you enter the tutorial menu or training mode character select and you immediately leave without starting a tutorial chapter or training session, the controller will no longer work. The only thing that seems to still work then is the keyboard.
I tested this with an Xbox 360 controller and keyboard and didn't seem to encounter this bug though.
I am using a Mad Catz SoulCalibur V Arcade FightStick SOUL Edition (Xbox 360) and am playing on PC.
Not a very big bug, but I thought I'd just thought I'd point it out. Perhaps other people can test if this happens to them with their fightsticks.
