You've got a few options. The best thing you can do if you have the money and/or you have a fightstick that they support is get a plexiglass cover from this website, which is what almost everyone uses. They will also print your art and cut the holes for the buttons/stick for you. Basically you put the art under the plexiglass which protects it so it lasts while making it comfortable for you to play. They have templates on the website which you will probably want to use even if you don't get the art through them. If they don't have a template/plexiglass for your fightstick, you're going to need to get the art printed elsewhere and have to cut it down to size.

If you don't want to go through them, your other option is to get the art printed by a company, like FedEx/Kinko's. You're going to want to get a laminated label, which has adhesive and is covered in plastic. This is much cheaper although I have seen people say that this wears out over time, so you'll have to buy a new one every once and a while.
No problem, anytime.
Yes! I dig it, but my tiny baby twig fingers find it hard to push two P or K buttons at once.
It really comes down to preference. If you would prefer buttons for movement, go with a hitbox, and if you want a stick go with a fightstick. There are some differences to consider though; hitboxes are more exact as they are exclusively buttons. I've heard people say getting the diagonals in inputs are difficult (just like with keyboards), though.
I don't know much about controllers, but you'll have to get some form of adapter. I see people referring to this adapter a lot when this topic comes up. The feedback on the product isn't the best, and they're expensive, but it seems like your only option sadly.

Shit, really? Is there any other option?
Would it be possible to gut a ds4 and transfer it to a ds3 shell?
Biggest problem I see, though, is where to put the touchpad without having to cut-out a part of the shell. Then again, I've never done anything with wiring so you could maybe take the pressure sensitive thingy on it and hook it up to the select button?
I'm just desperate...
Pretty much just what Fizzxwizz said here. Pad is completely viable, and to help with airdash cancels, set a macro.I'm thinking of transitioning to stick soon, since I want to play the new Guilty Gear and KOF when they come out this year, and I've heard that those are pretty much unplayable on pad. In regards to Skullgirls, I'm also having some difficulty doing airdash cancels reliably; while I've gotten down a lot of combos involving airdashes, it's always inevitable that sometimes my thumb will slip and not press LP and MP at the same time on my Dualshock controller (especially after Savage Bypass).
I've never used that fightstick as it isn't out yet, but that looks uncomfortable as hell to use. It looks really flimsy, and there isn't much space to rest your hands. If you're fine with it, though, go ahead. I believe it has Sanwa parts in it.I don't want to spend more than $100 on a stick, and right now I'm looking to buy Madcatz's SFV Alpha Fightstick when it comes out. The only problem with it is that it has only 6 buttons, which isn't very optimal for a game with assist macros like Skullgirls. Can anyone recommend me a good quality stick under $100? I don't really care how small it is.
My b, I play a 3-char team and was unsure as to who my anchor was going to be. I might try just using the right stick or doing the assist calls by pressing a trigger and a button.@The Victatorthe thingy under your avatar says you play a duo, have you considered switching your second assist call macro to pp for airdashes? That's what I do and it helps me a lot. If you do actually play trio though I guess you could the right stick assist thing since you're on pad, or maybe get used to inputting the assist calls manually instead of using a macro.
That Q1 really doesn't look appealing to me. I'll probably just wait until the Alpha stick comes out, then ask around or look at reviews to see if it's worth buying.I've never used that fightstick as it isn't out yet, but that looks uncomfortable as hell to use. Sadly, $100 is kind of cheap for a fightstick. If you want a really good impression of one, you need to be willing to spend a bit more. If you want something a bit bigger for that price range, you can get a Qanba Q1, which seems to be the highest quality option for the price, but it has Qanba parts, which isn't good. I know it is easily modded, so at a later date you can replace them with higher quality parts, if you want. Again, I'm not too familiar with the options for that price range.

Oh i don't have one, i'm struggling with keyboard, but i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with ordering one, any kind may i add
ah i see.
That might be what I have to do as an alternative. Really what I would like is a d-pad similar to the Logitech's it's raised up instead of being embedded in the controller and it makes execution easier for me.
Perfect, thanks.i play on it (for what sounds like the same reason as you, I love the dpad), its compatible with ps3 if you use directinput rather than xinput (flip the switch on the back) so it'll work for SG with the L0 drivers but not with other PS4 games
hori fightpad has a very nice dpad and is well built but if you want to play with 4 face + 2 shoulder buttons its kind of awkward, you have to stretch your fingers to hit r1/r2 on the shoulder
