Game is out today for North America while other regions get it in a few days.


For those who don't whats been added in this Ultimate incarnation besides character balance adjustments you can find out here.

The game will also provide an optional F2p model if you don't want to pay full price on the retail.

Gonna get the game either today or later this week depending on circumstances.

I saw that video... I was hopin' to see some Brad husbando stuff but it was just gameplay. The stage still looks pretty neat, if I'd totally play on it but I'd have to change it to have Alpha's theme playing. To me... it sorta fits better...

no excuse not to get core fighters
 
It's relatively low on the list though, I still have other fighters to get.

Core fighters is free.
 
Yeah in core fighters the main four Shinobi characters Kasumi, Ayane, Hayate, and Hayabusa are free forever from the start. Then two other characters (right now is Rig and Milia) semi regularly become free for limited time during rotations until time limit ends. You can buy 1 character you want right away for $3.99 or buy them all at once in a bundle for $34.99.

This bundle is "volume 1" so chances are in "volume 2" the missing characters get their outfits. Was bum no Ein outfit yet though.
 
So, apparently, Tecmo decided to release a $FREE bundle of their free-to-play DOA5U with Bruce Lee fairly recently. Dunno if any of you guys jumped on it, though.

I'm probably just gonna treat this as an extended demo, like suggested; it's 2014, and I still don't feel comfortable buying digital releases of physical games. At least I'll get to play as Jann-Lee.
