Hitbox Arcade might be the spot like last year...

If not Thursday Night Who Yall Like in my room.

Just booked my flight for Evo today. I look forward to seeing many of my favorite SG players in person for the first time.

So is everyone booking flights to arrive on the 10th and leave on the 15th?
Is there anything going on before/after the event?
I don't think we have any details on Skullgirls at Evo but being around for those days is where we start with booking, and things get sorted out closer to the date then right?
Questions Questions Questions?

Thursday to Sunday evening. So basically the entire time I'm there. Two room set up like last time.

I mean with your blessing we wouldn't even need hitbox arcade Thursday we could just all stay in the hotel, since hitbox apparently has a location farther away. Streaming is gonna be a bitch though if we even do it.

I'm getting there the 10th and leaving the 14th.

Just a plea in advance from those of us who won't be able to make it - assuming that there won't be a stream or anything during the event, can someone keep a challonge bracket updated or something? That way the IRC can still chat about upsets/who's going to win/etc. rather than just waiting a week for the recordings to be posted online (by which time we all know who won anyway).

It's cool if that's not possible, though.

Not up to any of us but up to L0, Mike and Render.

Thats really hard to implement though, the past 2 years its been paper brackets made up of 16 pools. So I really doubt anything will change.

I'll probably tweet out who made it out of each pool like last year though.

I'm not too sure about that since I have a feeling internet may not be so good at the hotel and I feel we need to stream the shenanigans of when SG USA meets up. But if we don't really care about streaming, yeah we can do it there.

Well Thursday is when I'm planning to do the EC WC 5v5 we can just record that.

I honestly don't care about streaming so if the hitbox thing isn't possible i'm okay with the suuuuite.

You really wanna do it Thursday, when most of EC will be jet lagged?

Well I mean alright I'll figure it out... I guess Saturday but by Saturday people aren't gonna care... so maybe Friday???

I forgot that people sleep so thats why I picked Thursday D:

I mean I'm not even official for this thing yet, I still need to win the qualifier at ECT or w/e, but if I do then I don't wanna get off the plane and immediately have someone be like, hey, welcome to Las Vegas, OK now fight Severin.

Alright Friday night it isss then probably you right

So...for us pad players, will we need to bring a PS3 pad for SG or will they be there on standby?

For that matter, who is organizing the SG side stuff?

Highly doubt there will be pads on standby. There might be people willing to lend you their pad though. Still, not sure if playing in a tournament with a controller you aren't used to is the best way to go. I'd consider getting a PS3 pad or maybe an adapter if you're using a 360 pad. Ask around about reliable adapters first though if you go the adapter route. I've heard some can be a bit touchy.

I suppose I'd have to get a PS3 pad. I use a Logitech F710, but unless PS3's support arbitrary DirectInput/XInput USB controllers (not to mention it is dongled wireless), it's not going to do me any good.

Fighting game tournaments are BYOC unless otherwise stated.

So unfortunately, we won't be able to do another hitbox arcade this year. Where hitbox is held now, it's almost all the way across town...

Me and @Inferno apartment can't hold too many people either.

:/

How good is the internet up/down in the rooms?

How good is the internet up/down in the rooms?

I don't think anyone has been to the LVH hotel, so *shrug*

I have a feeling internet might slow with a bunch of people accessing it at the same time.

Can I register for skullgirls yet? I'm not missing something, right?
#evonoob

Skullgirls isn't an official tournament, someone's just going to be setting up a PS3 or two and then people just play. There may be a side tournament as well, but that would be organized by ourselves.

If its anything like the last 2 years we'll probably be in for better treatment than that, we'll see though.
