Aside from Testament? Uh.............Everyone I really played is already in Xrd :/ I guess Baiken? I dunno, Jam and fan-guy, Anko? Whats his face. Those 2 are kinda boring to me. Bridget would be cool, and we definitely need him AT SOME POINT! He's a nice counterpoint as a comedic character both in and outside combat...but not in the same goofy way as Faust.

I couldn't find an exact picture but the resemblance is pretty uncanny. Just google post op Michael Jackson photos.

And when mikes been represented in an animated fashion, the jacko picture definitely caricatures the images.

If it's a coincidence it's a very strong one.
 
MJ was as white as a brand new bed sheet man. I dont see the resemblance.
 
The closest thing to a reference to MJ would possibly be her clothes. And even then, you'd have to make some pretty big leaps to make that connection.

Also just noticed that her chest is exposed for more cleavage. Because of course it is.

To be pedantic, the character's name is Jack O, not Jacko. Same letters, but technically a different spelling =P

GG's character design is starting to lose it's flair for me, it's no longer quirky and niche, now it's just streamlined.

I'm very surprised they decided to not re-balance for the new version. They're treating Revelator like an expansion.

Unlikely since Mike Z had a big rant here http://mikezsez.blogspot.com/2015/01/why-im-not-playing-ggxrd.html and only two of his list of pet peeves so far was addressed which was bringing back throw techs and removal of danger time.

They also tightened the window to successfully perform YRC. It might not be where MikeZ would like, but his concerns were at least addressed (and by changing, I'd argue that they tacitly agreed with him).

They also dropped the burst OS. Which addresses one of the OS. I think tightening up the window for YRC probably also dropped at least a few of the other OS.

They tightened up the inputs too (did they add negative edge, I forget?).

It's also been better balanced.

What's still left on his list might still be unpalatable, but in fairness to them... they've done a lot of work in just two patches.

  • She has a ghost icon for each one of hers above her Tension gauge; can't setup same ghost until icon refills.
  • S Ghost summons a floating ghost, no idea about P and K.

  • 3HS is a sweep; no cancels.
  • Ghost gauge takes quite a while to fill.
  • 6K is a short jump 2 hit kick downwards; no idea if overhead or low.
  • K Ghost is a walking spear ghost.
  • P Ghost is a floating sword ghost.
  • 2S' reach is so short you can't even connect 2K > 2S point blank.
  • j.HS looks like one of KoF's Kula's moves. Can crossup.
  • After ghosts come out of bag, even if you pick up the bags they stay summoned; bags can stay summoned for as long as guage lasts.
  • Ghost bags "level up" according to how long they stay on screen but spend more ghost gauge accordingly.
  • Overhead and strike throw both look slow.
  • Organ's explosion explodes both bags and ghosts.
  • All of Jack O's Minions disappear if she gets hit.

  • Wasn't mentioned in the loketest pdf but she has a 6HS.
  • 5HS first hit has jump cancel.
  • 2HS last hit has jump cancel.
  • 6P > 5S > aerial combo > strike throw is a thing.
  • Rushdown attack (2D) is slow but has invul.
  • If you retrieve bags with P Organ, the gauge regenerates entirely at once.
  • Jack O can carry the Pumpkin house she placed and move them somewhere else.
  • Her command grab works as an air combo ender.
  • Her 6HS looks like Bridget's 6S.
  • 6P floats on hit so you can follow it up with 5S > air combo afterwards.
  • The gauge above her tension gauge is the Organ gauge: As you use its moves the gauge depletes and once it's empty you can only use it again when it's fully regenerated.
  • 2K > 6P > 6HS > IAD j.HS works.
  • Ghosts eat up projectiles.
  • It seems that each one of Jack O's D attack drains around 10-15% of her tension.
    • 5D: Regular dust.
    • 2D: A shoryuken like move.
    • jD: A downward angle projectile. " rapid fire up to 3."
    • j2D: A dive similar to Leo's and Bridal express.
    • 6D: A command grab where she put you inside a coffin like thing and suplex you. Can be followed up with RC.
    • 4D: A command attack with a long range where she eats you with that steel pumpkin like ball then spits you.
  • Standing normals seems to be mostly jump cancelable.
  • She gains a lot of tension by just setting pumpkins.
  • 6HS is 2 hits that she can combo into from S and both hits are special and jump cancelable and it wall bounces on counter hit.
  • Pumpkin Bags don't disappear if you hit her.
    • They have their own health gauge. Require 3 normal hits.
  • 360 super: Super version of 6D; can also be used in combos. Similar to how KOF command throws work.
  • 236D super: throws a bomb diagonally donwards that follows up with a fire pillar; fast startup; maybe has invul; also combo part.
  • Whether you can use Organ moves depends on the Organ icons above her Tension gauge
    • P follow-up retrieves all bags at once and regenerates the bag icons. You also keep the bags' levels before they were retrieved.
    • K follow-up "speeds up" the bags: The ghosts come out faster and they move faster too once summoned.
    • S follow-up detonates all ghosts and bags after 5 in-game seconds; can damage yourself as well if near enough.
    • HS follow-up deploys a protection barrier around her. All projectiles are nulified if touched by it.
  • Apparently you can follow 4D up if you throw your opponent upwards but getting a knockdown by throwing it downwards seems better.
  • j.2D bounces diagonally on hit and can be followed-up afterwards (long untech time).
  • 2D seems to work like a reversal. Cannot be YRCed.
  • P ghost is mid air, if it hits it moves behind (behind the opponent)?
  • K ghost is on the ground and it stabs. (Currently the preffered ghost).
  • S ghost is high up and shoots projectiles.
  • Ghosts can't kill.
  • Ghosts don't disappear on block.
  • Jack-O' can choose the direction she sends the opponent after 4D by inputting any direction.
  • The pumpkins seem to have ram sword style hurtboxes where the attacker can't cancel their attacks after hitting it.
  • Pumpkins level up and generate ghosts with time.
  • 6P is not jc-able.
    • Sends opponents flying horizontally.
    • Gatlings into c.S or 6H, which are both jc-able.
  • Ground Minions
    • LVL1: Carry wooden stick and can be killed with one hit.
    • LVL2: Carry spears
    • LVL3: Carry a trident and hit three times and you have to hit them "2 or 3 times not sure."
    • Can relaunch opponent to extend air combos.

    • And he doesn't only get sunglasses from his super, Some time he gets " Old record disc or a Porn magazine" Items are character specific.

System

  • Apparently Danger Time is still in.
  • Some character changes might be around; someone said they could tech after Bedman's Task B.
  • Blitz Shield changed.
    • while holding down the button, shield effect lasts entire time (they get rejected if they hit you?
    • After releasing the button the move will activate and it triggers stagger on hit. You can charge up to max timing but its not UB.
    • Blitz shield rejection gets back tons of burst meter too.
    • So, in short, blitz shield attack is something like focus attack in sf4.
    • The new BS attack does a crumple state (new animation. you stay in standing state)
    • You can still counter Blitz shield I'm getting contradictory reports on this.
    • Successful blitz regens burst meter.
    • New Blitz follow-up staggers on hit; can combo afterwards. Also adds up to the stun gauge.
  • Graphics all look updated.
    • Characters get dirty when combo'd.
    • Shaders on the characters have been changed.
    • Rim light has been added (a light to ensure the character's borderlines stand out).
    • Contrast and colors on a character changes in different stages.
    • Point light source" has also been added (Gunflame shines in a dark stage and when it hits the opponent they also start to shine from the flames).
  • Dust > forward now has dramatic camera, too.
    • Wallstick for horizontal dust seems shorter?
    • Dust forward does a rolling state like CH Fafnir.
    • When doing a Dust then dash you can cancel normals into each others like 5HS >5HS>HS.
  • Round starts with a camera rotating downward in this version
  • Stylish mode has auto-defence and easy input for specials (Venom and May can do specials without charge), but has slightly lower defense and some of stylish specials does not work in the same way as regular one, such as Sol’s VV has no invul in stylish mode.

Miscellaneous

  • Ishiwatari would like to hold as many loketests as possible. Listening to people's opinion and adjusting just once doesn't necessarily lead to a good result.
  • REVELATOR's story starts after the events of SIGN's story mode.
  • REVELATOR's story is supposed to settle everything else than the fight between "That Man"

Looking over her video...She doesn't seem to fit...I mean...her model looks more obviously 3D I'd say. Maybe its cause I'm used to looking at them now, but I can just see all the things that make it stand out as a 3D model and not a 2D sprite, unlike the rest, which do look 2D for the most part.
 
I'd rather update that one post so that's it's neater. I just want everyone to be able to see new info as it comes.
