Help Advertise Indivisible!

Is there any way to ask them about potential alliances that could bring more backers to our cause? I mean, it's obvious the streams alone and the good will of their fans isn't enough, and as a businessmen, they must know that isn't working and they need to think fast.

I wish I had more friends that ran big websites. I'd much rather call a source and tell them about Indivisible directly. I really hope that's the kinda stuff Peter's been busy with right now.

As far as alliances, I think Lab Zero's definitely got potential ones. We already mentioned interest from the Cryamore and Battlechasers side, which by extension could include groups from Combat Core (yo @MABManZ) and Cannonbusters too. Then of course we've got Wayforward, the guys working on Cosmic Star Heroine, and Dean Dodrill who've all been glued to Indivisible's development. I'm surprised the guys working on Battle Chef Brigade and Heart Forth Alicia aren't already in the loop either, because some of these folks have crossed paths, and the audiences between all of these games are so connected. (and dude, except for Dust and Combat Core, every one of these projects features a female lead!)

So yeah, the Twitter loadout is stacked, but things don't seem to be branching out much more beyond that. I'd like to think that Indivisible's success could benefit these groups too, since it could help shift the current crowdfunding climate a bit. When people see how well LabZero can handle that large budget, they'll hopefully feel less skeptical if/when these other creators ever return to crowdfunding with larger projects too.

Aye, I'm not sure if it's something regular joes should do or Lab Zero themselves to ask those big KSs for a shoutout in their updates. Way Forward and MNo9 were pretty cool about having "Hey, check out this other campaign!" in their updates. I think Mariel did some work for both Cryamore and Shantae, and Alex did designs for Combat Core so there's already a shoe in there?

Right now, I'm hoping all their friends and business partners are their "secret weapons", so right now they're just kind of trying to get as much money as they can without having to rely on them. Yes, yes, one whole month... but have you seen the pace of the campaign? One whole hour between backers for a $30 donation.

Man we need another anime-esce esque grand finale to fund Indivisible.

VAD EDIT: esque pls :)

Maybe Lab Zero's waiting on the timing on something to be just right before making a major announcement? Kind of a concern, we're burning daylight. I get the impression these recent Twitch streams were supposed to build more support than they have. Unless the current streams are in part to test their capacity so they can have a smooth performance during the big stream later?

I did a little digging, and it seems most gaming news sites already covered Indiv back in July. Hence the lack of news now. "Yes, this thing we said would happen is happening. What's the big deal?" Is there any way we can build controversy or something? Maybe someone can pirate the free demo?

Hm... Who would benefit most from hearing about a new JRPG or a new platformer title? Maybe there's a Prince of Persia angle that hasn't been covered? (Except we don't have a time-reversal mechanic. Which is a shame, it would be really handy.) Indivisible doesn't have the "Spiritual Successor" angle, so it has to be completely explained from scratch.
:PUJNA: "Enjoy playing Skullgirls but hate playing against other people? Check this out! You'll still die repeatedly, and you'll be all alone!"

Get someone to pledge $5000 and create a boss with a time-reversal mechanic!

The Funding of Isaac: Rebirth?

Actually, what are Marvelous/Autumn's policies on SG characters? I know anything put in the game needs to fit the theme, and cross-licenses are complicated. It's probably better to stay away.

What's really sad, though, is that full "Dagger/Ornate Mini-Spear of Time" shenanigans are probably easier to implement than what I really want: Goomba stomping. Or, rather, flying Koopa bridges. Those things are intense.

(Mike said the other day there's no vertical collision detection. Therefore, no head bouncing. I think.)

Haha beat me to it for this thread.

OH MY GOSH I SAW THE THUMBNAIL AND SCREAMED! SO GLAD THEY'RE PLAYING IT, GONNA WATCH NOW!

Comments like those are pretty reactionary, and are usually made as soon as the video goes up.
I'm more worried about the ones dismissing the game on account of the budget.

someone should be answering those questions with "if it doesn't get funded you get your money back"

don't worry about those I saw one and a ton of people where on his case about how to really make a good high quality game this budget is pretty much expected.

AND NOW A FOR A COMMENT

"A: i wouldn't call this an Action RPG. No one should call this an Action RPG,, Turn-based with an active combat system IS STILL TURN-BASED. It's just more annoying.
B: what's with the mini-skirt? Why that choice for a kicking character? Why is it magically never... an issue? Why not shorts? Confusing. Don't want upskirts? Don't have a skirt. Just pick one or the other...
C. The art clashes horribly with te background. Sprite on a 3D background looks horrible, in my opinion. At least cel-shade the background if you do cel-style 2D animation Yes. The animation is incredible. So? I don't have any context, everything clashes with everything else. There's no cohesion. It's just "some neat drawings, moving! Things show up and hit each other!" Yeah. Random-ass party members that somehow manage to still be generic Balanced Party (Fignter, Ranger, Cleric, Monk...) and punch other random goombas out of someone's sketch pad. The comat looks boring and limited. None of the tactics of a good turn-based system, and none of the skill of actual action. YAY! I only ever turned on Active Battle in Chrono Trigger for more challenge after beating the game a few times. Nah. Nah.

I hope the developers do well in life, but this game looks horrible."

is he trolling or is he serious? YOU BE THE JUDGE~!

Is there an hashtag for Indiv? This is the perfect chance to start it I think.

So the IGG has gone up about 2k in the few minutes I had the page open. Arin didn't really show off the game the best, but he likes it and Danny seemed to as well. Hopefully more people see it, maybe even their other friends and do videos/donate. We should definitely head over to the locations Grump fans frequent and answer some questions. The comment section usually isn't taken seriously, but start there for sure!

This is the reddit page for specifically this video : https://www.reddit.com/r/gamegrumps/comments/3ovm7s/indivisible_game_grumps/

half of his comment is dismissed since the 3DCG backgrounds are placeholders
the other half by "it's a prototype", more shit will be added

Good job addressing people's questions and concerns in the comments guys. Stay on 'em!

Regardless of what people think (though it's nice to know), this still means thousands of new eyes on the game, and at least some reposts on other sites. Really glad GGs didn't wait too long to put this out there.

Hopefully this will have a domino effect and other Youtubers will follow suit and play the game as well. This is going to be fantastic for the campaign.

Their playthrough of Dog Island also had the title now being named "part 1" but after some time they did a part 2.
Maybe they're going to do a part 2? Don't press on the matter we cannot afford to sound commercial.

That is the thing.

And i hope this happens.

That's right, I gotta ask Kirbopher to do a kirblog on it.

He said in the episode they were playing up to that point so that the fans could experience the prototype themselves. They could always do it, but I doubt it since they would have recorded the whole prototype in one sitting and know whether or not they'd post 2 videos.

Yo that's right, Kirbo is into that stuff. Shoot him an email or something, he's pretty nice at replying back to you in a timely fashion.

And Kirb was a cleanup animator on Skullgirls too if I remember right

Just wanted to say that while Game Grumps is a big achievement and it's important to build on the momentum, remember not to burn yourselves out too soon - we'll be in this for the long haul, so remember to take care of your energy levels!

i think so... There were a ton of guys who did clean ups on SkullGirls.
Which I really remind people that quite a few porn artists worked on. Not just Zone.

So, not reach others YTs or popular people until the hype for this runs out?

No, I just meant don't let you get exhausted by working too hard in the first weeks or two.
