Oh hey.

Last friday i finished reading part V.

I'm getting there (btw, where is, there? =P)

The rest is pretty good so far. I especially like the "Who will judge" scene.
 
also caesar, dont forget the slimiest accent possible for that originally deep and badass voice.

you guys should know, in ViZ, they normally don't match the seiyus.
they cast someone who can play the character.
not just acting-wise, but also give them a voice that matches the personality.

there's a reason I love english Kotetsu Kaburagi and he sounds nothing like the seiyu.

and also, why would Dio just start saying the japanese word for useless, when he's speaking english?
 
Because it sounds less shit obviously
 
I actually kinda like Caesar's voice...

But Strohiem is like legit a bucket of ass.

And here's hoping they'll keep "Za Warudo" rather than "The World", as I feel it wouldn't have as much impact. I really wish they hadn't undone Muda though.

yeah, Stronheim, at least in this scene, is probably the weakest.

everyone else has had pretty good casting though.

though instead of Joseph saying Caeserino he should have said Caeseroni.
 
I love how Stroheim says the name SpeeedwaGOOON here, and even Speedwagon is Afraid :D

Well you guys see, I wanted to show my father the dub when it came out, and now that i see that they didnt take it seriously I really can't.
 
I think my major problem with Strohiem's voice is that, well, in Japanese he was screaming like literally every word with a lot of passion in his voice. But the dub just dulls his voice too much, it's not as energetic or "rough" as in Japanese.

I still think the dub other than him is great though.
 
the weakest one is Stronheim, mainly when he is supposed to be screaming.

Well, I'm gonna finish my current HxH episode then head off to bed. Gotta TRULY start school tomorrow, first two days were just adjustment days. Last year of High School ahtta be rewarding. Enjoy the rest of your "just listen to it" OVA dub night, guys and gals(?).

Yeah but Viz isn't doing the dubbing. Bang Zoom! is doing the dubbing with Warner releasing it themselves.
