Painwheel Match Start Lines

I don't have video of it but sometimes when I select Valley Girl Painwheel, the regular Painwheel lines play instead on match start ("Must Kill", "Ahhhggg"). The ValleyWheel lines play during the match, though.
 
I though that only happens in response to other characters lines right? Like, when she is in 1P she says her Valleywheel lines normally but when she is in 2P she either stay quiet or say her original ones.
Am I wrong?
