Some wise guy once said that "Children are the Future" or something like that. Pretty sure he was right. Someone give him a prize. Well, he wasn't 100% right. More like "People who usually graduate college and make an impact on society are our future" but thats besides the point.
I'm pretty sure most people here can read the title thread and see where I am trying to go with this. With the power of the Internet, a bunch of really awesome and really cool devs, and some dreams to one day make people spend their time to master a game you created, I give thee the Thread of Futute Fighting Game Makers.
So what exactly do we do here? Well, as a casual who is about to graduate to college, I wanted a bunch of gamers, causal and expert, to come together to help each other to create the games of the future. Questions on how to start your path to your game, getting in contact with programmers, artist, and musicians, Heck, even advice on what to do when negotiating business with Companies like Sony or Microsoft so console players can play your games Are all very useful tools that many people just starfting have no idea how to do.
Skullgirls was a game that brought us all here, right? The little indie game that turned into something Astonishing. Maybe with your guys help, many, MANY more like SG will be made. And thats awesome.
So, let me start off with a few Sample Questions to get this ball going.
1. Has anyone here already started programming and/or made a fighting game?
2. Where is a good place to negotiate deals with artists and musicians to help out your game?
3. What are some do's and don't when creating a fighting game?
4. Do you know other up and coming Fighting game projects that have serious potential?
5. What is the best option on making a fighting game once you have learned a coding language like Pyhton?
