Don't get your hopes up or anything,
but I could see this 3DS direct showing Shulk's reveal, considering he's most heavily requested in Japan.
Probably won't happen, but it's worth pointing out.

Well I have been predicting that Shulk would be revealed by the end of the month, and this is pretty much the last chance for that to happen. Shulk would also make....some sense....as something shown to Japan first, since it was exclusive to Japan for quite a while. On the other hand, Nintendo is obviously trying to market Xenoblade and its sequel to the west to grow the franchise, so if this is the case they would have to have good reason for it. The only thing I can think of is if they're going to reveal it to the western crowd at Pax, but considering neither the Smash Invitational nor Evo was graced with such an honor I can't see that happening.

I'm not expecting much.

"Here is the latest newcomer, Shulk. Why didn't you know about his reveal? Well, he was revealed on a Japanese only direct about the Nintendo 3DS. We didn't bother to translate it because apparently all you in America already know the final roster anyways."

The point is punishing those foolhardy enough to dare to leak information under Nintendo's nose.

Like how after Europe leaked XY they're getting ORAS a week late.
 
But that's stupid. There's probably a handful of people who give a crap about leaks and such.

For instance, the people on Miiverse who don't browse the internet that often might not have asked or known that shit went down. Why are they punished? That's dumb.

I'm joking. Real punishment for leaks is litigation and job loss. Most stores which leaked XY no longer exist--Nintendo fined them more than their entire operation was worth. The guy who leaked the smash stuff was already caught, lost his job (and will probably never work in the video game industry again), and will have as much money as possible squeezed out of him in court.

Nintendo doesn't fuck around when it comes to leaks, up until recently they've been known for their airtight security with information.

It's not Nintendo, it's the integrity of human beings in this day and age. People going down the shitter and it gets worse with every generation.
