god the 3DS version looks good

Bowser falls so slow there...getting some serious Brawl vibes from this gif. I'm guessing at the very least that's the fall speed without pressing down on the control stick. Also reminds me that we still have Brawl's fucking awful airdodging. Hopefully you get more than 1 frame of invincibility this time around.

That's not the falling he's likely talking about. Probably talking about after bowser's been hit by Mario and is falling on the left.

Traditionally, there's a spark of light when one enters "fast fall" (snapping down on the control stick while falling) and it doesn't appear as if Bowser exhibits that. He does fall at an accelerated rate it appears though. But this is also very early game footage and I seriously doubt that Mario's dash attack is going to have that much knockback in the final version lol.
