*Sniff* I thought I would never see the day when this thread would make a reappearance. I'd though that in the aftermath of the great purge we'd all just part ways.

Adam should've been in the game instead of that fake wrestler Beowulf. Adam is truly a hero the hero Canopy kingdom needs and deserves. While Beowulf is in his comfy ring Adam is on the front lines kicking ass.

Anyways Adams gameplay inspirations range from Chris from capcom to Dan from street fighter but I believe the main inspiration for him has to be Metal Gun 3.

Wasn't Adam supposed to have 2 egrets with him? Sort of like an ice climber mechanic or you would fight as an egret with certain abilities until they were killed and the second egret with different abilities. Once that egret was killed Adam would come with a full set of abilities. I personally don't like this concept because you would need to sacrifice HP to get the full abilities.
 
It's more like Adam's 1 health bar is shared between the three Egrets in sections. And while Adam by himself will have more moves available to him, the Egrets as a whole have moves that vary depending on the number of soldiers remaining. So you have a tradeoff of individual power and group synergy.

Adam is a Jack-of-all-trades elite soldier of the Black Egrets. Unfortunately, this does not help him stand out among the team. Being good with kids as well, he is also often tasked with babysitting Umbrella. Will he ever get the chance to prove himself to Princess Parasoul?

Playstyle Speculation
Adam would represent the Black Egret soldiers as a playable group. Their lifebar would be divided into thirds, with each third representing an Egret. Whenever a segment is depleted, that character faints and the next one joins the fray. The first two are faceless Egrets, and the last is Adam himself.

Since in reality Adam is a talented soldier, he would have access to moves that the other two Egrets lack, giving the group some last-ditch power. However, the group would also have techniques that require more soldiers alive, such as sacrificing one of them for a damage or a buff to the next one, or ganging up on the opponent.

In addition to attacks similar to what the Egrets do while assisting Parasoul, Adam is skilled at a variety of other military weapons ranging from close combat to assorted guns, grenades, and bazookas. He might have some sort of ammo meter that he’d need to reload for certain attacks.

I think Adam would be like the Stryker or BB Hood of the SG Universe.


As in, he's the most normal of the cast, and his main power is guns.

I'd also like to see him have the ammo meter alluded to in his description. I really enjoy resource based fighters and hopefully the tradeoff for having to reload is having more damaging zoning moves available to him.

That is exactly how it went but unfortunately I think who was working on that VN closed shop so this is what we got left.

What makes Adam special is the he isn't special. He's just a regular guy like the rest of us. You can relate to him, put yourself in his shoes. That's why I like him.

I think the other Egrets made sure he was picked for babysitting duty so that they could keep their keep their jobs. Your career is going to go in the toilet if your CO can do your job better than you.

I'm alright. I pop in and out to see what's being discussed. Usually not anything I can weigh in on, though.
 
Once again my mind drifts to the what if's of Adam's designs. Recently got a chance to play a game that featured Akatsuki from Akatsuki Blitzkamf and started thinking about the shape of Adam & Co's normals and moveset.

Really wish the previous thread hadn't bitten the dust in the great mechanics purge.

Anyways, here's some E-Soldat footage and the hopes that everyone is doing ok.
