I watched my friend play the tutorial on Steam. When he played the advanced Filia combo with an air combo into Hairball > Gregor, he did the Gregor too slow so the dummy blue bounced off the ground in time after the hairball, but when the bot got hit by Gregor after teching, the game saw that as the combo completing and moved on, even though the combo counter reset, and the bot clearly teched in time. I would assume that the game erroneously accepts 0f resets for actual combos.
 
The way the tutorial tracks completion and the way combos are counted work differently. In other words, it seems that as long as the move hits within a certain timeframe, it counts even if it doesn't combo any more.
