Big Band Upside-down fist during TUBA?

I happened to notice one of Big Band's Brass Knuckles he shoots out during TUBATUBATUBA <and possibly Satchmo Death Blow> is upside down. Is this intentional?

Uhh, I dunno who to tag, but it's an art-related thing so... @Persona?
