That sounds wonderful!
We'll be back to the black and gold theme soon, so I can suggest an outfit with those colors in mind ;)

Obviously, it's why her skin is the colour that it is, so it can compliment it as such.

Can you make a Big Band one that's more saxually appealing? #Kappa
(but seriously... that'd be cool...)

Well I'll fuckin' try.
PORN OF EVERYTHING.

Wow...

I absolutely love ALL of your artwork! It's all so gorgeous! I especially like the mascot you designed for Skullheart!

It would be super awesome to collaborate with you on some kind of game project one day :D

(PS, there's no link to your art blog in the first post :( )

Ooh, Watercolors!

chopstick leviathan is too cool! we need more art with that alt. costume

the coloring style you use for Ask Squigly is really cute.

Not Skullgirls related but I would love to hear opinions on some character designs.

Bonnie
A woman turned vigilante because she detested the days of her former urban life, due to a chance meeting of her partner in crime, Clyde, 5 years ago.
While tomboyish, she isn't overly crude or mean, she won't give you the light of day unless you peak her interest.
She also acts as the straight man in her duo, being more level-headed and serious compared to her more implusive partner and is annoyed he diapered 3 months ago. She's still searching for him all the while collecting her bounties along the way.

Clyde, a mysterious figure that offered Bonnie a life out of normality, she isn't even sure of the man's full potential. Rarely takes anything seriously. Which is probably how he went missing.
Loves to annoy his partner by calling her 'Bon-bon'

Bonnie reminds me of a female Pokemon trainer. She has cut-off shorts like the female trainer from Black and White 1, and black leggings like the female trainer from Black and White 2. I feel like a Pokeball wouldn't look out of place in her hand. This isn't criticism or anything, just an observation...anyway!

I like Bonnie's overall design and color scheme. When I first saw her, though, I wondered for a moment if she was a man in drag. Something about the facial structure on the first picture makes her look mannish - might be the thick eyebrows and no feminine lips. But the second picture of her makes her look much, much more feminine. I also kinda feel like her arms a bit muscular for a female character...I know you're aiming for a "tomboy" character, but I feel like she's almost starting to border "butch" in that picture on the left.

Still, though, the first things that came to mind were "Serious and unfeminine woman". Somebody once said that the key to good character design is "The viewer should know exactly what type of person your character is, after just one glance." so I guess you succeeded, as far as that goes! However, that second picture of Bonnie made me think "Sexy gunmoll bimbo". I guess there perfect balance might be somewhere in-between those two pictures.

Nothing about her says "vigilante" to me, though. If I'd had to guess at her profession, I might have eventually arrived at "bounty hunter", but it wouldn't have been my first guess. At the same time, I don't really know what I'd change about her to make her more vigilante-esque. Utility belt or something? What weapons does she use? Where does she holster her gun?

As for Clyde, I don't have much to say. I don't think "mysterious" so much as "shady and sneaky". I hate overcomplicated character design, but "shady guy in trenchcoat and fedora hiding his eyes" doesn't really make this character feel too memorable to me. If I didn't know he was one of the two main characters, I'd say he was a henchmen's mook who isn't seen after episode 1.

Of course, I don't actually have a formal education in character design, and nobody ever seems to like the characters that I design, so maybe everything I said above should be completely disregarded!

Bonnie is smoking. Yes that is a double entendre.

In all seriousness this duo is really cool, they may not be Skullgirls related but they definitely seem like the kind of characters Alex Ahad would create. Yes that is a compliment.

@ExaXephon

You may not have a degree in character design but that doesn't mean you still can help.

I want Bonnie to have a serious look on her and it seems like I might actually have to ditch my preference of the leggings under the booty shorts or adjust it. (A pokemon trainer is literally the last thing I want her to look like.) I was also thinking she has a magical bag of tricks, to at least keep up with the rest of the cast I have planned.

Next up on the list is a somewhat finalized version of Valeda, mostly the colours would be changed but this is in general, her overall appearance.

Some kinda sort of updated rough sketches? Any ideas how to improve their design would be appreciated.

Oh no Water you HAVE to keep the leggings under booty shorts, that's like my second favorite thing about her. Honestly, Pokémon Trainer is the last thing on my mind when looking at her. Well, except for the vest, that does look like something Team Rocket would wear, but they're cool aren't they? I don't really know what you could add to Bonnie to make her look more serious, she already looks pretty damn tough. Hmm... sunglasses?
OH SHIT THAT'S IT, SUNGLASSES. I mean yeah they would obscure some of her face but they would undeniably make her look so much more serious.

I WAS JUST THINKING THAT.
Do it, this is a great idea. There's a lot of different kinds of sunglasses though. If you ask me I think she'd look best in some basic wrap shades or some aviators. It's your character though, I don't want to intrude too much.
