Ad you may know, Keninblack just hosted the last WYL on Thursday. With WYL gone, there's a big void in the Thursday schedule. But not for long!

Who's The Strongest?

A tournament of Champions!

Here's how this works: every week, we choose one character, and host a tournament for the character featuring the people you guys say are the best. They then compete in a tournament using ONLY the event character, and whoever comes out on top is the true Master!

(But they can't be in that tournament, naturally)

Why would you even trust jimbob
Even if I can somehow last a few seconds the connection would be a big problem.
I'm not even a peacock main. I'm a decent band but that's it.

Nobody wants to participate in a solo mirror match tournament.

Yes there is a void on Thursday schedule. Someone will come up with something soon. I heard POS had something brewing.

In the mean time though we will just have to wait for someone to come up with something.
 
Yeah just because you won a mirror match does NOT mean you're better with the character, it just means you're better at the mirror match.

Actually, I'm happy to say I finally got the game working! Fukua's better than ever, and I LOVE Eliza! Spent the whole night playing it with headgamez! (and I tried to connect while I was there, but without a fan SG bakes my laptop) I'll post some combos in a while, once I get used to a gamepad. It's not that bad if you aren't playing Peacock.

This is a discussion room, so I feel we should create the next WYL together, you know? I'd appreciate any and all suggestions for WTS.

On that note, you guys have a point... winning a mirror match doesn't make you a champ. How's about some kind on one-on-one gauntlet, where you use your nominated character to face all other current characters? We could do it WYL-style, and nominate a challenger for each character. Perhaps best of 3 Swiss matches? That certainly would fit a Who's the Strongest feel, right? It would also ensure everyone fights each player.

Buy an A.C. unit and strap it under your laptop or whatever.
 
We all know this is never going to happen, but I would hope to god that the inaugural tournament for this would be SGFB's Peacock vs. the top peacock players. Again though, one million stupid excuses later that are easily solved or contradict crap that's been said in the past, this won't happen.

I never contradict myself, as I hate lying! Is tripling your bill an easy solution? I follow my own example! I told L0 to cut their costs, and find money in odd places, and I follow that principle.
But now that I think about it, I'll hold a poll to see which idea is better for the tournament.

Option 1: The first Idea (not) suggested by Khaosmuffins. A tournament of 1v1 matches, all featuring the same character to decide who is the best at that character.

Option 2: A series of Tournaments where each week a player is nominated for each currently playable character, and they all play 1v1 in a Swiss-format tournament to decide who's the strongest.
