In response to the Mid-Season 4 Finale I thought it would be appropriate to start a thread for The Walking Dead.

Whether it be the Comic Book, the TV Series, or the Video Game, here is where you discuss The Walking Dead.
By entering this thread you are exposing yourself to spoilers, so do so at your own risk.

Thread revival go

I knew the walking dead was TV series but i didn't really watch it since I don't really watched TV anymore. I heard of the walking dead through the video game and I bloody love this series now and I am deciding whether I should wait for the entirety of season two of the game to be released or play each individual part as it comes out?

My first time with The Walking Dead was with the Telltale video game, and I really enjoyed it... if feeling depressed and sad and even more depressed counts as "enjoyment". :P

I'm actually in the process of replaying Season 1 of the Telltale Walking Dead, since my data from my first playthrough was deleted, and I want to have the choices from Season 1 register with the new one. I am currently a little more than halfway through Episode 4.

When I do get Season 2, I think I'll buy Episode 1 alone, than buy the Season Pass when Episode 2 comes out.

I started watching the show around the time that Season 3 was nearing its finale. I still haven't watched the majority of Season 1 or 2, but luckily I was able to catch up to what was going on pretty easily. I have enjoyed the show quite a bit so far. It is probably one of the very few non-cartoon shows I still watch on television nowadays.

Anyone want to share their thoughts on season 2 episode 1 of the game?
I thought it was pretty good for the most part, but the pacing was a little off. It didn't give itself room to breathe, like it was matching the pace of, say, season 1 episode 5, when it should really just calm down and develop the characters so that when the climax of the episode happens we actually care. In the end that made the choice to save the guy with bad trigger discipline or his uncle (which is essentially what I remember about those characters, they basically tried to develop both of their entire characters on the way to their deaths) a little bit less personal or based on who I liked better. Thankfully it was a bit of a multithreaded choice, since I liked the uncle more but I saved the other guy instead. Because as far as I could see, the uncle was already bitten on his leg, so in my fast thinking I decided to make sure the guy that wasn't already doomed was safe. And that makes it work a little better, although it's still not fantastic. On the other hand, I'm kind of excited for how this will play out; they already did the whole carly/doug trick, but they can't do that again because a good chunk of us are already onto them. We're expecting them to kill off the character we saved asap to make us feel small and meaningless, and since their personalities in this case are a LOT more distinct (to the point where it would be difficult to set them up with the same death scene like carly/doug got) I think they might do something different with them; perhaps the uncle will die quickly from his bite, but the other guy will survive for a while longer, possibly even get a full character arc since as he is now he's screaming for one (if he dies a klutz I will be very disappointed.)
On the other hand, it did one thing very very very well. It got me into playing as clementine. This is the episode's best accomplishment by far. At the beginning, it puts you in situations where you really feel like a helpless little girl; helpless to save omid from the robber, helpless to save christa from whoever those guys were, etc... but once you're alone, you slowly get more and more confident, and by the end you're stealthing around the house to stitch your own wound like a bad ass.

This dead thread is about to be revived, I can feel it. In exactly one hour The Walking Dead TV show is going to continue it's 4th season. Turn on your televisions and tune in to AMC at 9:00PM EST to continue the gripping story.

Until then I have a question to ask everyone, who is your favorite character? Daryl Dixon
They don't have to be from the show, they can be from the video game as well.

Oh

I thought this was a thread about walking for exercise.

How come this thread isn't popular, I thought almost everyone loves the Walking Dead. Anyway my favorite character is Michonne, because who doesn't like badass ninjas. I also like Daryl and Carol.

By the way here's an alternate question you can answer. Who is your least favorite character, and why? Just try not to pick Lori, because practically everyone is going to choose her.

Season 5 aired tonight, anyone want to share their thoughts?
Don't worry about Spoilers in this thread, enter at your own risk.
All I have to say right now is 10/10.

I liked the part where Carol blows Terminus' gates up with a firework, that and the groups escape from Terminus, since it was filled with so many cool walker deaths.

I have to say, the show has had some ups and downs. I was super in to it in the beginning, and then it kinda fell off with the prison. But this last season and the premiere tonight, WOW. That premiere was phenomenal. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, it was super action packed. Plus the immediate ending? Dude. Did not see that last minute coming.

I was talking to my cousin throughout the episode and he brought up something to me... When Rick and Carl were reunited with Lil Ass Kicker, Eugene was eyeballing her hard. We think she may need to be sacrificed in some way for the cure due to her innocence. I thought my cousin was crazy until they said something like, "Not now, we'll talk about it soon." and then in the preview for the next episode they were yelling at Rick about him having to understand. I don't know. What do y'all think?

When is Carl gonna die, because man does he ever just alternate between jerkface and walking plot device

Oh, and inb4 the Terminus leader becomes the new gubbernor out for vengeance

But if he dies... no one would ever leave the house.

Man Carol redeemed herself tenfold, any hate I had for her before is now gone.
She walked through Terminus looking like a demon but she came out like an angel.
