That's so god damn disappointing.

Corrin's such a terrible character compared to Robin that I'm actually mad he made it in. I really despise him and I feel like it devalues Robin a little just him being in-game. He's Robin but with red eyes, stupid edge and an edgier dragon-whatever (And this is the guy with the Ryuuko icon).

Bayonetta's just gonna be a shitty Wonder-Red but with no personality, and tits. And that's the kicker. Wonder-Red was a million times better of a choice in my opinion.
I'm really happy SOME Platinum character made it in, at least. They've carried their weight so hard on the Wii U.

I feel like Cloud was less upsetting. And I think Cloud's an idiot.

I'm happy for those who wanted Bayonetta, but I'm sorry, I just cannot believe for the life of me they threw Corrin in there.
 
I was happy that Bayonetta was in, even though I didn't vote for her. I loved her games and the her moves her quite nice, especially her Final Smash.

Despite what my inner salt is screaming at me right now.
I am not going to call Sakurai biased toward Fire Emblem.
 
My face hurts from smiling so hard at the last reveal. I almost want to cry.
She was my one and only pick and I didn't think she'd make it.
I am so happy and hype right now.

As soon as Sakuraisaid dlc was coming to a "...climax" my eyes got wide and I said "no way".
Once she was revealed I spent the rest of the direct smling and laughing. And I'm still smiling.

This is one of the best days ever.

I need that amiibo.

At first when it showed Pit. I assumed it was gonna be Hades or Medusa as a character, but when I heard Helena Taylor's voice I lost it.

Although Shantae wasn't in the fact it's bayonetta over say someone like Minecraft guy or Freddy fuckbear makes me happy.

So I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't take our #1 American slot seriously and just decided to promote Fates instead.

That's the problem, man. He's like the most fanfic character ever, and it burns so bad. Not to mention the dragon thing is stupid, and his design is trash.

At least Chrom would have been tolerable. Kamui just feels like a Robin cosplayer who wanted to "Improve" with some elements.

Namely, a power tool, a lake, and something he found at a costume store that looked vaguely "Dragon".
 
Thoughts

Corrin: I'm conflicted on this. Not only did we NOT need a 6th FE character but I technically have to admit I did want him. For Smash 5 however. Really, Sakurai? If you wanted to shoehorn in a character from either a recent or currently unreleased game into the DLC, you could've either gone with Inklings or teamed up with Level-5 to include either Nate/Katie or Jibanyan from Yo-Kai Watch instead (Don't you judge me!) and saved Corrin for the next game.

Bayonetta: This is the one I hate and that's ironic because I love the Bayonetta games but she does not scream "Smash character" to me and it pisses me off that she got in over Shantae, K. Rool and Wolf. On top of that, she looks to be fucking OP as hell! I do not approve of this choice at all. Now I'm curious to see who else made the Top 5 of that poll.

Well to be fair FE fans are perfectionists to a fault, that some of them will complain even if they like what they see.

That being said, my thoughts.
Corin: Meh, other than another counter character, he at least looks like an interesting character to use. Like of the FE characters he looks to be one of the more unique ones, like up there with Robin.
Cloud: EH, just EH, interesting enough but not much to say really.
Bayonetta: Ugh, I don't mind her being in, hell I was planing on buying Bayonetta for myself once I cleared out some games out my backlog. BUT I stand firm on the belief that NO platinum characters should be in smash. Why? Because most of them would ether be miss represented or be properly represented and be OP, just because of how those games work. Not impossible but I see alot of Bayonetta mains it the future.

what are entries in a series past the first if not just published and officially endorsed fanfiction

I imagine these combos were pulled off in idealized situations to be fair.
