USA New England thread - Not UK

Oh damn dude, I'm right across the river lol.

Forget you guys, Sorc and I will make our own Massachusetts, with blackjack and hookers. The latter I'm sure can be found in Springfield, and the former soon will be!
 
I'm just jealous at all the cool things they get in east Mass.

I think I forgot to mention that I'll be around from the 19th to Jan 24thish so over the winter I should hopefully be showing up somewhat regularly.

It's definitely seems like the guy's house. It sounds like he wants to hold a PC tournament in his basement. I don't know why he made it sound like an actual venue and charging a venue fee for people to come to his house. I don't know how I feel about driving all the way out to the middle of nowhere to give money to stay in some guy I've never met's basement for something I could get with Skullbats. If he's interested in the scene or hosting SG parties or whatever that's cool, but I don't like the sounds of this particular thing so far. His stream seems legit. Inactive, but legit. I don't know. I'm pretty wary about this, especially since it's a 2 hour ride out from where I live. Maybe he'd be willing to come out to some GU or NJ/NY stuff first and at least meet everyone before trying to build a scene from scratch like Josh tried to do?

Agreed. Hopefully he gets back to us about things? I'm sure they mean well and all, but as it stands, there's just not enough common ground to stand on with this.

Yeah I'm in agreement with you on all that. If he has incredible answers to these concerns I may change my mind but right now my plan is to not go to this event.

I mean, we don't even know this guy.
He may actually be likeable. Likening him to Josh is just rude.

It's because everyone wishes they were part of the New England Skullgirls scene.
 
I asked Lucky D if Game Underground would be open on January 1st and he gave me a solid "probably". Was anyone interested in a fight night that day? Or is everyone gonna be hung over lol
 
I have the day off and a reliable rental so I'll make it out for that.

This'll be the first weekly I go to so I just need to know what time to be there.

There's less of an emphasis on being there at a specific time than with the monthlies. I usually show up at 7pm and leave when someone needs me to give them a ride to the train station, which I guess usually happens around 11pm. So somewhere in that range.

Yeah nope. I was in Waltham for NYE too, but completely unfunctional today lol

Def, I've missed a lot of Fridays cause of Holidays and NEC. Nothing's going on this Friday as far as I know so I definitely wanna make it out.
 
Should be showing up at 7ish. I don't think I'm going to be staying super late though since I have some plans tomorrow.
