Robo Fortune Fukua Eliza
So, back in 2015/2014 or something, after Eliza released and this forum was more alive than ever, the community talked here and there about a possible canon story and the devs stated that specific playable characters would need to be made for that to happen.

Guess that won't happen? How about that Eliza Cliffhanger? How about all those other characters great concepts and stories?

After Robo Fortune everything was simply throw into trash and the staff moved on with another game? Yeah, there is a mobile version now, but that still don't solve anything.

I know i would probably buy any DLC and Expansion for this game, but should i just consider any development "dead" and forget about all scope and potential?

Also: If you play a game, you don't have to rely on other media to consume the whole lore, just like people watching a movie shouldn't rely on books to get everything.

The key to the canon story requires 2 more characters still: Black Dahlia, Umbrella, and Marie herself. The mobile game teased something that implies they will be making these characters come to life since they already have Miles Blessing, but we wont see them for at least another year. These assets dont come cheap, and neither hvs or lab zero is a big company!

In case you didn't know, there's a bit of turmoil between Autumn Games and Lab Zero. Since they own the rights to the IP Autumn took their ball and went home to focus on mobile rather than funding SG2. They may still try and get the full story told that way, but I don't know if Alex Ahad will even be involved to write it.

Well that's different phrasing than we were getting a couple years back, I don't remember if it was Peter or the Twitter account but I remember seeing the response being roughly "Autumn wants to make SG 2 but they didn't have the funds so we made the Indivisible deal". Which made sense given Mike saying Indivisible was either going to happen or LZ was done.

Not that these are contradictory ideas, just different framings. It all sucks in any case. Well, except for the fact Indivisible successfully got funded and that's a thing that definitely won't suck, along with LZ getting to continue and people getting paid for their new work at least.

Indivisible happened
More substantial profits from Skullgirls over time didn't happen

Once upon a time it looked like SG2 was still a possibility, now it doesn't.

I felt a distinct sadness when I found the stream schedule for EVO and also AnimEvo side tournaments and saw that SG was the pretty much the only game not there.
