Anyone else want this? My favorite technique for learning new combos is to learn it at ~50% in training mode, and then bumping the speed up one notch at a time until I can do it effortlessly at 100%. I can easily start using it on humans in an hour or so with this method.

(This is also how I learned to play those pesky DDR songs like "So Deep" and "Burning Heat" on Heavy.)

Honestly I wish that you could control when each frame goes by, just like the Super Smash Bros. Melee debug mode. Basically the game will be frozen and will only advance a frame when you hit a button. That way we can really see what makes the game tick. Kinda like a debugger in programming where you're going through each step to get a better picture of what's happening!

When it comes to practicing actual combos and links, I find that slowing down the game doesn't really help for me. I just practice on 100% until I get it down.

Yeah, that sounds pretty cool. I really like nitty gritty stuff like that.

Yeah, different people learn things different ways, so I know it's not going to make a big difference for everyone. However, 50% is pretty slow, and sometimes a minor difference like 75-80% is much more useful if you DO like to learn combos by slowing them down. It's also much more useful for slow-mo sparring, which while unconventional, is a very interesting exercise for intermediate players.

it may be a pain, but if you want to get that detailed then with the PC version you could pretty easily record you playing and then bring your new video file into any simple/basic NLE program and do it there.

might be too much work but yee

Yeah maybe that's actually why I don't use slo-mo. 50% is too slow to practice combos on, so maybe 75-80% would be better. Either way I still prefer practicing on 100% but I can definitely see 75-80% helping a lot of people out there.

Yeah I actually thought of that too. It might be a pain, but it's an option I guess.

25% and 75% slow-mo speeds are on Mike Z's to-do list.

Day officially made. Thank you. Do you have a link/reference for that info?

Are there any technical reasons that they couldn't implement a higher frameskip to have +100% speeds in training mode, the same way Mike increased frameskip for the PC version? I could see recording a set of mixups/tick throws and then using the random playback at like 120% speed to try to train to see them.

Hey guess what guys, 75% slow-mo is finally in the game! :D

Dood. I need to be off work now.
