There's been some talk going around about possibly adding UI for resource characters. Maybe they are planning on doing it for Umbrella, and once that groundwork is there it could be backported to previous characters.

I still lament the death of forums everywhere. Discord's great for chat and all, but terrible for anything long-term and should never have been seen as a replacement. Twitter too. So much just gets lost to the aether. Hopefully we can make SH 2.0 last.

They'll do it for the next new installment whenever that happens, but if they didn't do it for Special Edition I don't expect them to ever go back to CF. That was their chance and they passed it up.

Remember at the time a lot of people were complaining about how much later we got the games after Japan. They were listening to feedback! Still, it sucks that they wouldn't go back and do it later in response to further feedback. Like, not even for the BBCF Special Edition rerelease?

The fact that we're only just now finding out about all the removed moves via datamine is really really bad. This is something Game Freak should've disclosed sooner. I honestly can't fault them for killing Hidden Power, that one might be for the best, but other removals are super questionable...
