DO THE THING! What thing? Read up on this week's Salty!, of course!

As of this week...

  • NMO Arena and NMO Arena (Empty) have their final music, courtesy of Blaine McGurty and Brenton Kossak! The composing duo have created a new jazzy rendition of NMO Arena's music for its vacated counterpart.
  • Beowulf's voice acting is finalized, which means CROWD CHEERING! The hysterical screaming of local Salty!-goers has been immortalized ingame, and will forever remind Beowulf why he's numero uno. Additionally, the Skullgirls announcer will chime in during Beowulf's supers when playing on NMO Arena!
  • You will be able to enjoy a metric butt-ton of new palettes for all characters! Including:

The reveal of the extras colors was a surprising treat for me. Also, that jazzy Empty NMO Arena was quite smooth. ^_^

Pretty much a great update all around, happy to see an increase in more colors, this game just keeps getting better and better. ^^

Man you're really on fire lately! With each week bringing major updates, it's quite impressive!

That Jazz version sounds really great! It also fits more the overall musical feel of the vanilla game. The announcer thing, the penguin and the hype sounds also feels just perfect, but now it will be hard to not want to choose the arena when playing Beowulf!

Those pallete took my by surprise, i was sure we already got to the max number! That's alot ok kill-la-kill in there, someone is definitely a fan...i suppose i should give the anime a second try.

I'm really glad for that alternate felicia palette for miss fortune, i always wondered why she didn't have a felicia palette up to now. Probably because it would have been too obvious and that she already had a darkstalker palette!
 
I guess I got a bit too used to the placeholder music because the new Empty Arena music sounds a bit too energet-

oh my god the jazz just kicked in and i am sold

Also @Flotilla I need to give you a high five for calling in a Dark Cloud 2 color for your Indiegogo color if I ever meet you

I'm surprised that Beowulf has a tag-in line for Marie. It made sense with older characters, but for the newer ones still? Those aren't used during the boss fight, are they? (I've never noticed if they are)

Also, I remember them recording chants for all the characters when they recorded crowd stuff, but I didn't hear them at Salty or in the Voice/SFX reel. Any word on if the character chants are actually being used, and if so, where they are/will be put?

From what I remember, they said they'd like to continue working on this game if they could.
They recorded the lines just in case they could continue, which would save them a lot of money.
 
Raven has Beast Boy bird/dog man, Trigon Skeleton, and Magic blood. I can't.
