Am I the only who thinks the Skullgirls Webcomic sucks?

Squigly Ms. Fortune Peacock
I remember reading the first pages and it looks very promising until I started to notice some plot problems that made me realize it was a ret-con.
The last chapter I read where Ms. Fortune meets Minette and kicks the Medici' brothers butts and straight up goes after the Skull, but in-game, specifically in Ms. Fortune's Story Mode, it shows very clearly Minette and Ms. Fortune know each other waaaay before.

I wouldn't say it sucks because overall it was an okay story, basically just a retelling of the Mobile Main Story with some new interesting info for lore enjoyers, but it did leave a lot to be desired. The art aside and focusing on the story and lore, there were a lot of weird issues. Yeah, Ms. Fortune not knowing Minette was a particularly bad one since it's something that should have been easy to correct, and there are a lot of other minor issues like Umbrella knowing about Franz's condition, Dahlia's characterisation, etc. I think the writer was given some notes on what the overall story was supposed to be and some guides or characters and lore, but there was a failure in the editorial process somewhere that these kinds of mistakes were not spotted and fixed.

Also Riccado and Lawrence aren't brothers far as anyone know, they are just a couple of goons who work for the Medici

I kinda didnt liked that Marie was showned as a lesser threat tbh. I feel bad for hear in the early chapters

the artstyle feels so flat compared to the actual games artstyle

the webtoon tier budget really messed things up

I guess it had its issues (the characterisation kind of baffled me sometimes), and the artwork had its problems from time to time, but it was a good addition overall. I'm glad it was made.
Also, I don't think it was supposed to be a retcon, more like an alternative continuity (based on the game about alternative continuities). So it made sense from a certain point of view.

Ok tbh I skimmed through the comic how did they mischaracterize everybody?

(The most memorable scene to me was the peacock phone scene, I thought that went hard personally)

For example, the treatment of Filia's family by Marie was completely different from SGM Origin Story. I thought the point was that Marie, who's supposed to be an undead monster, actually showed them mercy, while a fully human Vitale didn't. But the Webtoon went with Marie leaving Filia and her parents to die a slow and painful death. It gets very much against everything we know about Marie.

That's probably the most baffling example for me. I'm also a bit puzzled at the way they wrote Parasoul, Adam and Irvin (okay, we don't have enough information about this one). I don't hate the writing at all, but I have certain questions about it. I think different people have different issues with the character writing.
