Anyone else having an issue with palette select?

Just came back to the game after a very long hiatus and on the Steam version on the character select screen, I push start to select the color, but I can't move to actually browse through them.

YET this works fine on the beta version of the game...

Anyone else having this odd issue?

Guess it's only me then... weird.
