[Apr 18, 2014] Norcal Regionals: It's Happening (Sacramento, CA)

I'd rather have the tournament Saturday, since then I wouldn't have to take Thursday off work and pay for an extra night in a hotel. That's my preference.
 
Just throwing an update, unless a huge crowd shows up out of nowhere preferring the tournament on friiday we're going to proceed running the main evenet saturday. A tentative schedule would look something like:

Friday
Show up/casuals/sets/whatever

Saturday
Main Touranment, Top 8 would be towards the evening assuming stream time.

Sunday
Casuals + whatever else we want to run. Crew Battles would be sick, or anything else you guys want to do. We have a more limited time on Sunday (tip: john choi will give us more time/space if we have more people, so show up) but still plenty of time to run events.

IF for some reason we cannot get stream time, I am more than willing to throw together a recording setup and record the top 8.

Well either way, super super hyped. I'll do what I can to make this event awesome.

If housing is a potential financial issue and/or you're coming from further away(re: not california) and need some free housing, shoot me a PM and we'll talk.

Just wondering is someone has a stream set up for this? I am debating on going and bring my stream gear for this tourny.

We'll get streamed by NCR if we have the most entrants of any sidegame. Otherwise there are no plans to stream it, as I don't own the right console equipment to stream from a ps3.

I would like to make it out to this and am down for some MMs if I do. I just need to work out the travel details with people. Holler at your boy SG players to help work something out!

Also just a quick thanks to everyone who is working to make it out to this. I'm a pretty decent/experienced TO, but it will be my first time in charge of something this high of a caliber.
 
Does the price go up after today? I'm pretty sure I can make it out, but I don't want to register and find out last minute I can't make it.

It seems that Choi lost contact with the guy who was originally going to host the tournament (!?). There seems to be some good-faith efforts to make sure it still happens, though, so I wouldn't bee too worried just yet.

I just got home from my trip today.

Basically my email got phished, and i wasnt in a place with email all day. I'm emailing john choi now about skullgirls at NCR. Sent an email to john choi a bit ago and waiting for a response. This will happen, don't worry.

Holy cow, so SG got in and Injustice got dropped from the lineup? Never thought I'd see that in a million years. I like both games...
 
I was contacted to run this tournament by Valle and Choi. But I'm assuming this got cleared up and I don't need to fly down there right?
