Valentine Burst Bait Timing

I was under the impression that if someone falls for your burst bait, they're pretty much defenseless and open for attack. Is there a particular timing to this? I've been practicing a burst bait with Valentine, but can't figure out how to make use of it—that is, I'm not sure when I should attack in order to hit my opponent. Are there only a couple of open frames?

(A couple of the after-attacks obviously miss because I suck.)

It hit the assist, its safe, hitting anything including armor makes it safe
