burst not safe?

if you tag too early the burst is always safe, but if you wait a few frames before tagging it's punishble


I couldn't get a golden burst in anything slower than 75% for whatever reason

That's been known for awhile now and is in the regular version as well. What happens is that the hard tag is timed right so that it catches your opponent on the recovery frames of their burst (which are not invulnerable), leading to the burst bait/reset.

That's not what this is about, what's happening is that for some reason the burst is not punishable even though it didn't hit anything in the second part of the video, all it did was go thought fortune's animation when she's leaving the screen.
 
This is the bug that I mentioned adding the blue/gold bursts made visible. :^)

If you tag immediately from the hit that allows them to burst, when they burst the last object they were hit by is "not the point character" so it's always a gold burst.
I can probably fix it but I kinda wanted someone to find it besides me first. :^P
 
Makes one curious how many other "I'd fix that but I wonder if someone else actually finds it" situations you have there.

Not many, and I did mention this one in the patch notes. :^)
Also you should be reacting to the burst by tagging, not tagging as soon as you hit them...cuz if they don't burst you just get hit...
