Yooooooooooo here's what we did!

Cerebrawl v0.3a
  • New health bars (WIP) - all pieces required to get the new health bars are in, including red life bar. Polish later.
  • Assist meter (WIP) - the new assist meter is in but non-functioning at this time. This is the bar between the health bars. Details soon!
  • Beam sounds - Beam is still WIP but the sounds are in. Thanks, Mello!
  • Dash forward no longer cancels into dash forward
  • Pushback increased
  • Benched player now takes over when point character is down
  • Jumping after an assist call no longer makes the character fly across the screen
  • We got Wilson a haircut - he needed it.
More to come! During the next two weeks there will be a website update with some big announcements! Staaaaay tuned.

we haven't gotten damage scaling yet. and we don't know if two assist calls is the limit per combo... so there will be a chance that there wont be any ToDs.

now seriously flashy combos? that's a huge possibility. one that i would love to have.
 
I'm just worried the damage and setups will get a bit overboard. Part of my issue with SG and Marvel is that assists can put you in such a positive position after a combo or setup that it feels like I can't put things back into neutral until they let me. That could be down to just me being pretty meh at the game, but seeing all these open assists worries me this will also be a case of that D:
 
alright so how all of this assist stuff is going to work. You have all three assist controls when you are in a duo player team.

Point Control is going to be commanded by the point character [this is the only assist move they can do]. By pressing Hp/Hk the benched character can come out and do 1 MOVE with in a 2 second WINDOW. After this move is done the Assist will leave the screen and start a cool down timer. This Timer will most likely be shared with the Cool Down Timer of the Assist Controlled command. The tell for Point Assist will have the point character doing their taunt. They are vulnerable during this time!

Assist Control is commanded by the Benched Player. By pressing either Lp/Lk, Mp/Mk, or Hp/Hk will call out one assist automatically. Different buttons will do a different pre-selected assist. After the assist is done they will leave the screen and start the cool down timer. Again this is tied to the Point Control Cool Down. So you can't do both one after another. The tell for this kind of assist call is a giant "Assist" text flashing and a "Ready" text flashing when the assist is called out and when the assist is ready to be used again.

Full Control is also commanded by the Benched Player. But it is activated by pressing all three punches or kicks. This will activate a super flash which is post flash reactable where the assist can jump out for at least 60 frames and can do any move [outside of moves that use meter]. This assist call out is limited by the assist bar inbetween the health bars on the screen. Calling out the assist will automatically take away half of the bar, and the full bar if you are at max Assist Call out [if there is less than half bar the assist call out will count as Hp/Hk Assist Control Call.] for each frame after 60 the assist stays on the screen the bar will drain. A full bar will grant the assist player a full 120 frames to do anything. [Think of it as you calling out your stand in the JoJo Arcade Fighter only someone has full control over it as you play along side it.] The bar will fill up over time after it's been used.

So example would be if you have 3/4ths of your assist Bar filled and your Benched player calls themselves out they have 90 frames only 60 frames to do a bunch of moves, like cr.mk, s.hk, hk pendulum kick. So after that you will have just 25% of your bar left.

If you have any questions be sure to ask! suuuuuuuper important to do this please.

CORRECTION AGAIN: Full Control Assist Bar builds up with landed Hits just like Meter. So this will scale in a combo. That is it's limiting factor.

well alot has happened the game got plenty of updates. more moves have been added and mechanics are finally being put into place

as well as Helen's voice being shown off
