USA Chicago Thread: We are actually the best

I'm going to try and at least get the finals streamed. It really depends on the turnout for SF4.

I am also a maybe because I basically did not practice at all since last week and I am the worst.

Me. I'm going to bring a Skullgirls PS3 setup weekly to Ignite now. Please come out and support! It's hard to justify an empty setup with an abundance of people around.
 
Now that my school stuff has cleared up a bit, it's looking really good for me to be there! Really wanna give my new plays some live tests.

GGs to La Sombra and Noah and thanks for coming out. I felt I was a lot better by the end of the night. Lets get a few more people next week. It doesn't matter if you're bad. I'm bad too. We can help each other level up.
 
I'm changing my excuse for not being there yesterday to I just got way too lazy to get off my couch and on a bus.

You can also ask on the Chicago fb group for someone to pick you up if you don't like taking a bus. People are pretty generous about this.
 
Oh no it's not that I hate the bus. The stop is only about 2 blocks from my apartment and it only takes me about 20-30 minutes to get there. I literally just couldn't be bothered to get off my couch and put my shoes on to go outside.

I'll be there this monday though.

I should be there around 8PM with my setup. Getting the hang of this game more and more

Played some sets tonight after the pazzo move to ignite, got the hunger back. Will def be there on monday for more.

Also, this Friday we'll be having COUNTER! again at Ignite, but will have less setups available. Basically, if you want SG, we'll need someone to bring a monitor. I would, but will be coming straight from work.

Well, Frosty Faustings VI was in December, and we had 21 people enter, I believe. I would hope to see at least that many this time, if not more.
 
Turnout for last Ignition tournament for SG was 8-10, i don't quite remember. That was also before consoles. Other games get decent turnout, SF4 last time got 30 something, the other big titles got 20 something. With it being a ramp-up to UFGT we expect a better turnout all around.

And there's no more Pazzo. It's a drag, but I think it will result in more people at Ignite. I hope it does, at least.
 
When do festivities usually start? My group is debating whether or not to come the night before and stay. (it doesn't say on the FB)
 
Start for when? On Fridays we've been getting there at 6 at the earliest. However it is not known whether Ignite will hold Friday gatherings for the forseeable future.
 
So is anyone confirmed for bringing an SG setup for friday? It's unfortunately the only game I can play at meetups right now, so if it's not there I don't really have a reason to go.

Wish I could've made it but school work wants to give me a hard time before I graduate. I'll try to be out there tomorrow!
 
Can't make it monday. I'll try to be at GGA on Friday though if people are still doing that.
