Fukua Squigly
Hello, I'm Dawn111, and I've been playing this game since the Steam version have came out, and I really want to get better on this game. The team that I main are Fukua, Cerebella, and Parasoul, while my secondary team I play are Eliza, Squigly, and Big Band. While I can execute combos and resets just fine, my main problem is the neutral game and getting resetted.

Neutral game is like the most important skill that I need to learn, and once I lose the neutral game, I'm dead. I also need to learn how to block resets and mixups like Parasoul's, Peacock's, Fortune's, and Filia's, because I have such a hard time reacting to mixups from high level players. If I can win the neutral game and learn more resets, I can win more matches. Resets are another important part of the game, especially since the undizzy came out, and I really need to learn to avoid getting resetted by blocking at the right way, or jumping when I'm about to be thrown and get combo'd.

I also get wrecked by the high expert solo player, mainly because he has a much better neutral game, even though he and I get to execute the combos just fine. Although learning more combos is nice and all, they don't do anything if I can't hit my opponent, and I'm screwed if my opponents know what they're doing. It gets even worse if I get happy birthday'd.

I really don't want to be considered the garbage player in Skullgirls, which is why I need more practice. It would be nice if I can find good players who are nice and helpful, so I can get better on this game. I would like to fight them in a long, good set, so I can get better, and I have plenty of spare time these days to learn. I don't want to get wrecked by alot of people.

Here are some of the things I need to work on:

Fukua:

Stop dropping the resets when I'm attempting to do one
Confirming the combo after her MK Clone
Pressure my opponent better with her clone moves and stuff

Cerebella:

Learn more of her resets
Ultilizing command grabs properly
More Tumble Runs and grabbing properly with Pummel Horse

Parasoul:

Zone properly by firing Napalm Shots and detonating them
Performing Napalm Pillar+Bikes more before I get resetted
Setting up Napalm Tosses and more mixups

General:

Stop calling an assist when I can get grabbed
Use alpha-counter when I'm about to get bursted
Learn the matchups better on every character
Push block better
Stop upbacking too much
Block mixups and resets better
Play a much better neutral game
Stop auto-piloting my opponent
Stop rawtagging too much

If anyone has time to play a long set with me, I can play with you, so I can improve my skill.

DAWN STAP USING MY COLOR!!!!!!!!!! :^)

But real talk now...
to pressure with shadows more I would suggest you start karaing your moves because not only does it mask what your doing it increases or decreases the range between you and your opponent. The other stuff to do is learn the art of double jump stuff cause its cray! So like double grab jumps are really useful cause no one techs in this community 0.0

Ways I found to stop auto piloting is to play a neutral heavy game because it helps you develop much better habits then trying to start combos all the time (you will lose a lot with this method but it helps in the long run.....I hope.....)

Sorry, I like Black and Red. :P

Anyway, I have no idea on how do I kara my move. Do you mean that I should adjust the range of my moves between me and my opponent like when I use MK Clone? Also, playing a neutral heavy game is pretty much the hardest part of the game to me.

kara-ing is essentially whiff cancelling. example: cancelling the startup of Fukua's s.hk so she throws a fireball/shadow from a further distance.

I see. When I get back home, can I play a set with you, and teach me some of the things I need to work on? You can record replays, right?

I might be able to help, even with my PC dead, I can run SG on a family toaster laptop, so, I could help with Bella, and give some advice on mixups/resets that opponents do.

I'll be kinda back in a few days, at the least.

Alright, I just got back from playing League of Legends and some other games, so I'm feeling pretty rusty right now. I recently played Fedora, and I made some mistakes that I had such a hard time fixing them. Fedora will find some of the things I need to work on, and I now only play Skullgirls with my HitBox controller instead of the keyboard. Eventually, I'm going to learn more combos and resets on the characters I play.

I'm still looking for more sets to play, but right now, the problems that I have are sometimes dropping the combos and not being able to reset well, not blocking the mixups and resets so good, and playing a bad neutral game. I've been playing this for about a couple of years, and I still haven't learned lots of tactics.

I think you did a few unnecessary DHCs (maybe not) and you got hit by my Double tag a few times. Didn't see anything else that mattered. 0-10

I probably got hit by that tag, simply because I didn't get to read your raw tags that well. You're right that sometimes I did a few unnecessary DHCs when I used more than enough meter to kill one of your characters. I could just extend my combos and resets more to kill your point character, though I find that method riskier.
