I figure the thread title is more than self describable, but, for those who don't know what Copious is...

I've got an uncontrollable huge dump of rage poured on my today for some random reason, and I actually damaged a wall in a fit of rage after losing to a low-tier character in SSF4 with better everything than me. God damn mother humping son of an ass Vega.

More seriously, I have no way of controlling this rage, and have to resort to flat out giving up instead of continuing on. Isn't there a way to like channel this?

Yea, just give your opponent respects and focus on improving.
Vega might be low-tier but he is very viable, and it's extremely annoying to fight against a good Vega, so don't sweat it. We've all been there.

Just try different things, if you're losing a lot sometimes I'll just play total disrespect and just go ham on the person and it works.. Or maybe i'll try playing a total lame game. Just keep experimenting, figure out what works against them.

It's just him that I lose my cool with. It isn't even the fact I'm consistently fighting B or higher as D+ rank.

It's just when I fight Vega's. Maybe I should use Ryu more instead of Oni, that tends to do miracles.

play Skullgirls more imo.

The rule with Vega is similar with most characters but especially true with ones that can't zone well (like Oni, yes Ryu would be better here). Use your F+LK, stay away from F+HP in this matchup. Try to put Vega in a block state with F+Lk, and the occasion fireball (from mid range not far, and never use 3 hit fireball except for chip on wakeup), then use these to open up a chance to get close to him. When you do, use your 3f jab a lot, and throw in the overhead f+MK if Vega seems to be downback blocking too much. When you connect, go into a full combo into knockdown. Vega has terrible wake up, you can punish him if he tries to back flip, or just cross him up into another combo. When in, be relentless....do not back off.

When you are not close enough for LP, but within range try a demon palm (DP+K) to catch him by surprise. EX version, 1st hit must be blocked high. There is also cross up slash into Ultra on wakeup, but this won't usually work on really advanced players. Better to set the cross up slash with other pressure, or instead of finishing an FADC combo go for cross up slash into Ultra (Infiltration likes doing this when he uses Oni). There is also step kick into throw or raging demon.

Dagwood also makes an excellent point, I'm a long time street fighter fan. However Skullgirls is the better game (compared to SF4) hands down.

Is this thread about raging issues in Skullgirs, SF IV, or both?

In regard of your issue, work your way up from the bottom for a confidence booster treatment.

Fight random CPU as your practice your bnb combos, spacing, and other fighting game fundamentals just to get the motor running again. Hit the training dummy a few times as well as you slowly get back in your groove.

Then once your mentally prepared, head back to the arena so next time you face a character/player you don't particularly like fighting against, you will have a better chance now since your mind is not busy being a mess due to rage residue.

Mostly both.

And why does every damn game community outside of SF4 require BnB's? ;-;

BnB is something you can do consistently so you can put your attention elsewhere mid match. You don't have to copy other people's BnB but you really should have them even in SF4. Any sequence of command that you commonly used, be it combos, crossups, setups, or even just moving around, is best practiced against training dummies and the AI before taking it against a real person.

Execution error is one of the most frustrating things in fighting games.

You definitely need to know BnB's in street fighter too

If anything BnB's are harder in SF4 than SG due to links. Your average person SG combo isn't that hard (but the combos done on stream are, but they're not average people combos)

First, I tell myself do you want to be a scrub for the rest of your life or do you want to be a champion? Do you want to be a bitchy crybaby or do you want to dominate the SG game. That honest to god always gets me trying again, even if I feel like shit like I do today because of my wisdom teeth getting removed. There you go, tell yourself that.

Judging by your post and your signature the only advice I can give is simply...

Grow the fuck up.
He actually has a point, though. Do you want to improve? If so, take time and study. If you have replays, watch them. See where you went wrong. Think about what you can do for next time. Think about possible baits and setups that get you in.

Where there's a will, there's a way.

I had a point as well. Wasn't just trying to be an ass with that comment, it was completely serious.

Learning how to lose and gain knowledge from it is a sign of maturity. Getting mad and punching holes in the wall is a sign of being a 6-year old.

What planet do you live in where 6-year old can punch holes in the wall?

i was maybe a little older than that when i punched a hole in my bedroom wall. if its just plasterboard then its pretty easy. well maybe i was 11 or something so its not real close but i reckon a 6 yr old could easily do it. a beefy 6 yr old maybe ha ha
