yeah not really one to make a long ass post and individually tag everyone but NEC was definitely a blast overall. without a doubt worth the trip overall. shoutouts to meeting up with familiar faces and finally meeting some of the east coast that couldn't make it to evo. shoutouts to red velvet milkshakes and wawa runs in the middle of the night. shoutouts to getting bodied by pyt. shoutouts to the welcome that i got by everyone the first time i walked into hops' room. shoutouts to staying up with the early morning crew. i already miss you all so much its crazy. i'll have to see about getting myself to another east coast major asap because chillin with you all behind the computer screen is nothing like chillin with you all in person

also shoutouts to a well ran sg tournament in an event where my umvc3 pool was delayed by over an hour. also shoutouts to the dude who decided that it was a good idea to take a dump in the staircase. that had me dying LOL

Hey guys, sorry about late shoutouts, I was a bit stressed coming home when I came back to dealing with my dad's surgery (everything went alright thankfully), so I forgot that I didn't make a post here. And it takes me forever to write long posts anyways. It's late, but I probably won't come to an EC major for a long time, so I at least wanted to wrap things up. Overall, the 18 hour bus drives were really rough, but everyone was so cool and fun that it was worth it.

If I happen to forget people here, it's probably because I didn't get a good chance to meet or play you. Which makes me sad, since I wanted to play as many as I could, but there's not much time at these things and everyone does their own thing so that's okay.

@Datagram Thanks again for adding your setup on Saturday! Sorry about that suuuuuuuuuuuuuper long button check and fucking up the controls on the game, lol, I didn't realize the controls wouldn't reset when you closed the game. I'll try and be more careful about it next time I promise.

@dapurplesharpie It was super fun meeting you! Everyone may say stuff about you now, but I'm super happy that I could at least get you into the tournament. Just entering and participating, I feel, helps give you that motivation and drive to get better. Everyone wants to see grow as a player and we all believe in you which is why we all keep giving advice. And I never said this in person, but I have to say thank you for doing the things you do to really support and join and help the community!

@keninblack First off, congrats on Smash Top 8! Secondly, Thank you for sticking with the SG community and helping everyone and being awesome, even when you are taking a break. I have to admit, I'm sad I didn't get to play against you just because I know I need help both as a player and as a Parasoul, but I hope in the future I'll get that chance. You are always super cool to hang out with and you are there for everyone, and that's great. For some reason, I feel like I let you down a little in my performance in the tournament as a Parasoul, but I hope to keep playing and get better, and hopefully when you come back into the game your Parasoul will be even better than before!

@fenster I didn't walk in defeated, I walked in looking to be defeated. I had my bus leaving at 4 and i ultimately didn't want to find myself in a situation were i was stuck in the tourny and not having enough time to run over to the bus station to take the 7 hour trip back to Pittsburgh. Tell you what, we'll play online and the next time we can both meet up physically we'll have some real matches. Sounds good, aye?
