USA [Dec 8, 2017] SALTY! Friday Weeklies @ Game Realms (Burbank, CA)

Uhhh I just wanna suggest making SG 2/3 for tourney until Winners Finals, Losers Finals, and Grand Finals. While SG does run really fast it doesn't change the fact that we have 3 other tourneys going on at the same time. So getting ppl to where they need to be for tourney is a hassle. This is a personal complaint, but I feel like there is little to no time for casuals, and with this being the only place some ppl can get offline. I think that's something we should emphasize.

I agree with that. Tourney is great and all, but having casuals available sooner would be nice. Especially when we get visitors who I'm sure would really like to grind some games out.

After this week, I agree.
Salty isn't a major, there's no prize, and I WOULD like to have the setups available for casuals more of the time, the stream station included.

I wish there were scheduling software that could handle multiple tournaments at once and get non-overlapping brackets out...

I'm liking the idea of just using the space/limited setups for casuals, everyone would get more overall playtime. Also I'm stoked I saw new people play Tetris Attack!
 
yea i have casuals this week Saturday(7/30/16) 7pm-3am

can do a potluck.Anyone can bring food,drinks etc.
Please park on the side street and there should be 4 guest parking near my place but its usually taken.

I looked into food options near by. Everything in driving distance that's nearby seems to close earlier than 5pm. Thankfully, there are a few eateries within walking distance, with most of them close around 9pm-10pm. Plan ahead unless you want to get stuck with Subway...

There is also a mom and pop liquor store in the Subway parking lot that is supposedly better (cheaper) than the 7-11 across the street.

Thank you for the list! We frequent Better Fresh Burger alot while working at Game Realms, so I personally recommend them. The owner Frank is really nice and has been supportive our our business.

For folks with cars, within driving distance, the Steak N' Shake next to the AMC 16 Burbank theater is opened until 11 PM, so there is also that as an option if you drive.

24 hour eatery is only Subway and the 7 -11 across the street, as far as I know.
 
I went to Salty and I didn't expect to compete, but I had fun and met some people, got bodied. I am planning to attend the next Salty but may not be entering until I have some time to practice and play by myself and then eventually enter and make a better comeback. Also, the community is fantastic with super friendly players. I know I will enjoy the time.

August 13th Saturday, 1 PM to 6 PM.

In celebration of the release of Monster Hunter Generations, on Saturday, August 13th, we will have tables and chairs set up for Monster Hunter players of all walks to gather, meet, and play together! Great way to mingle and co op with other MH players, and getting 3DS street passes! This is a FREE Event!

Attendees will receive a free raffle ticket, with the prize of a Monster Hunter meat pillow!

Aww sorry I didn't get to say goodbye. Hope to see you again man. It was a blast from the past seeing you in person. Bring's back a lot of Vanilla/SDE memories. Also sorry I bailed in the middle of our set. We'll play a proper one next time you show up to Salty.

Have no fear, I have one of the monitors we ordered for Game Realms tested and ready to be used, the ASUS VE247H 23.6" Back-lit LED Monitor! I have not touched its settings though so if the user has particular settings, it will need to be adjusted.

PLEASE NOTE: We have re-adjusted our equipment rental policy at Game Realms though, so whoever is borrowing or renting any equipment like controllers or our monitor, we will need to log the renter's information and hold on to their valid photo ID at the front register counter. The ID will be returned once the rented equipment is collected. We apologize for any inconvenience.

i was suppose to have casuals this saturday (8/27/16) but I have to cancel it due to having relatives staying at my house this weekend. Most likely going to push it to 9/24/16.
