Android 21 is a scientist with a brain comparable to Dr. Gero and is an original character by Toriyama. Tien and Yamcha also confirmed playable, with Chiaotzu in Tien's moveset.
 
Not gonna lie, actually really digging Android 21's design, that is just the right amount of checkerboarding + Wild Hair.
 
anyways since nobody asked for it here's a scalding hot take on Tien

prefacing with an "I don't actually dislike Tien" that no one will believe
he's a vastly inferior prototype of Piccolo, who develops like a reverse Vegeta
Tien is fuckin' cool as an antagonist in his beginning arc way back in DB, then he just develops into an absolute nobody, becomes Stoic Training Fight Guy who interacts with basically no one, accomplishes jackshit all (amazing that the last hurrah for humans doing anything big in Dragon Ball Z basically amounts to stalling for time, tho I'd argue that Mr. Satan's contributions to the Buu arc are more significant, just not as spectacular). Like it doesn't actually surprise me at all in retrospect that the arc where Toriyama regained creative control is the same arc that writes Tien the fuck out (and he's not even dead)

meanwhile, you have Piccolo, a later model, who is just better in every way in terms of character, development, and ability, who shows that you can be a stoic training guy while still being fun and funny and having meaningful interactions with other cast members.

Meanwhile, you have Vegeta, who is an absolute piece of shit for almost all of Z, has great development, is fucking hilarious, still interacts with people in spite of being grumpy and srs >:[ all the time instead of becoming a fucking mountain hermit like someone else mentioned in this post, on top of not making Piccolo feel redundant.

so yeah Tien still having this strong fanbase in the west honestly kinda stumps me since, worse than Krillin or even Yamcha, Tien is just sort of... a jobber.
 
Honestly all Tien has left are some bad-ass moves he stopped using anyway. And others have been ripped off of him.

Bring back Four Witches Technique. >:(
 
We better be getting Caulifla now. They can't pull a move like this and then not ask Toriyama or other official writers about signature attacks for her. And if they were in the show after a first appearance in the game it would be godlike.
 
I'm actually pretty excited for Yamcha's gameplay
better have some fuggin' Wolf Fang Fist rekkas and a controllable fireball with Soukidan

Dude, if they remembered Piccolo's antenna attack, I'm pretty sure they'll remember Yamacha's Wolf Fang Fist.

of course Yamcha's gonna have the WFF, it's his precious baby

I also hope one of Tien's supers is just Chiaotzu blowing himself up for big damage and locking out his assist specials for the rest of the match
if I ever play Tien, my entire game plan would just be to fish for that exclusively
 
I was referring to that as well.

According to the scans Tien can call in Chiaotzu as an assist like 18 can with 17. The only super he has so far from what I read is Neo Tri-Beam.

I was just thinking this too. here we have a new OC, another female for the roster to boot, and after people talked about "No moves" for Caulifla. With 21 showing up, they shouldn't have an excuse now.

At first I wasn't much of a fan of 21's design. But after a bit i figured out why: There's no shading in the drawn version. The version in the screens look amazing. I am a fan of the design over all though. She looks like a bad ass

The point is that Toriyama's the lead writer (possibly the sole writer of the story) and is showing he's willing to introduce new elements if needed. So if he or DBS writers want to, they can come up with a handful of special moves for Caulifla.

being bandi, I believe she's playable. Pretty much every character that's showed up in most of their DBZ-esk stuff had practically the whole cast playable.
 
I would be 100% fine with Android 21 being a MILF or at least based off a MILF.
They are something we are currently sorely lacking in Dragon Ball
