USA EAST COAST VS WEST COAST 5v5 (EVO2014)

Okay so updated the teams.

@Duckator you needa make a team MW bruh. Winning team plays yall.

Status on Team EC:
I have the 4th player in mind.

However I want to do a qualifier at ECT for the 5th spot. Round robin.

Since I wont be there someone has to be in charge but I'll make the guidelines.

I wanna volunteer, but I don't want people to think I cheated somehow when I win :p. I'm kidding though, don't put me in charge of anything.
 
Zid you can run the round robin AND win it. Just pull a me.

Jokes aside, I need to figure this out.
 
Yo, I can't even imagine being picked but I'd like to step up. Also, if anyone is going to be on the EC team, @mcpeanuts better be.

Nah, midwest should stay just midwest. EC and WC don't have to get other people.

I guess South can have a team but TJ by himself doesn't seem fair to him.

In all seriousness though weren't we supposed to have a 10 v 10 version of this last year at Evo? If we are to try and actually do it this time I like the idea of South joining with MW, I'd join in that. Plus being on Duck's team where I can bug him about stuff seems fun.
 
We were supposed to do that but it didn't happen because getting 20 people to be in one area to play an exhibition was really hard.

The reason I wanted to just do EC WC 5v5 is just so we only had to focus on 10 people. @Duckator still hasn't gotten back to me about a midwest team so thats not even confirmed.

If we did anything with 20 people it would be a EC WC South Midwest Round Robin.

The problem with doing EC WC 10v10 is simple... no one plays in the south except you.

If we did...

EC and Midwest vs West and South The west would be disadvantaged.

If we did it in any other combo it would be unfair, because the balance would be out of place.

So thats why I kind of just want to have it stick to EC WC 5v5 winning team plays team Duckator squad.

Well that's a little saddening, wanted to actually try and do more this time around. But watching can probably still be fun. But if MW can't get enough players I'm willing to help out =p
 
If you can get a south team together you can get in on it no question. <3 Us SG guys will still have plenty of stuff to do, just MM peeeps.

If it's "Winning Team plays Team Duckator Squad" anyways, why make Team Duckator Midwest?
Just turn "Team Duckator" into "Best of the Rest" (ie whoever attends EVO and is good and is neither EC nor WC), eg TJ+Duck+MrPeck+X+Y?

How about we make Team Duckator along the lines of Team Liquid's Starcraft squad last year? There's Duckator, Pirateduckator, Totallynotduckator, Guy in a Duckator Mask, and Mysterious Masked Player?
 
I referred tl it as team Duckator because thats all the midwest has, but I would like to keep it a region thing. "The best of the best" team would require ec and (sev) to drop from the teams and I dunno about that.

I meant/wrote "Best of the Rest". EC vs WC and winner plays a tossed together team of people who are neither EC nor WC, ideally as international as feasible (midwest + south + europe + japan + whatever).
Of course you can make whatever, I just thought it'd be neat if the people who couldn't make a full team with their region (eg Peck will most likely be the only EU player) were thrown together into forming one international one.

And vulpes, that could work yeah but I just wanna try to keep it US and just by region. If enough people support your idea though we can make it happen.

Why isn't @mcpeanuts on the EC team yet?

Also, it feels kinda shit that the Southeast is basically ignored, but that's what we get for being so far away from each other, I guess. I can't imagine that team would end up more than @KhaosMuffins, @guitalex2007, @PrettiestMedic, Zero E Lopez, and me.

I think Taluda said it's likely he can't make Evo. Does Chilldog still play seriously?

Noah and Fuzzy are awesome though, can't see why they wouldn't make the team.

Chilldog doesn't really play anymore. But he also didn't play at all 2 months before the last Evo. I'm confident if he decided he cared at all he would be a beast again.
