For many of you, this thread will probably come to be known as "That disgusting mess to be avoided like the Bubonic Plague". However, as for the rest of you, welcome.

As it is there is a huge collection of fan-made visual artwork on display around the internet and even on our own forums. I believe we can at least acknowledge the presence of written tributes in whatever dark corners they're tucked away in.

As always with Fanfiction, there is the good mixed with the bad - which is the inevitable way of things. So, to save you all the trouble I've done a bit of the digging to start us off:

I've drawn up a starter list here. Of course, feel free to add your own - just as long as you make sure to credit the author if you're not the one who wrote it.

"Another Way to Die" by Zugzwang

"Pain(t) the Town Red" by Zugzwang

"The Ballad of Squigly" by Lockjawsaga

"Conductive" by AceZTeller

Before the site went down, everyone had a good fit of laughter over Guitalex's written piece on fanfiction - a satire of "My Immortal" - an infamous story widely regarded to take the cake as the worst written article in all of fanfiction history, let alone a single website. It is a hilarious and delightful parody, and I think it deserves to be given an honourable mention once more:

"My Everlasting Skullgirl" by Guitalex

These were some of mine that I posted in the old Fan-Fic forum. I hope you guys like them because I'll likely write more now that the site is back up.

Filia
The Monday morning sun gleamed off the classroom window as it rose above the horizon of Canopy Kingdom. Waiting for their teacher to arrive, the students were abuzz with gossip, news, and last night's episode of Annie: Girl of the Stars. There was one, however, who was not engaged in conversation.

Sitting just a seat away from the window, Filia simply gazed at the world outside, spending yet another morning trying to remember herself. It was a strange case, she could easily recall schoolwork and little things like that, but thanks to the tough talking, hard drinking parasite on her head, her memory of the past was blank. The good times, the bad times, even those precious moments of yesteryear. All gone but one, the morning she woke up with a demonic mop of hair and that one...wasn't pleasant to say the least.

Tapping the end of her pencil against the desk while scouring the empty wasteland of her brain, Filia failed to the notice her fellow classmate approach with a stack of papers in hand.

"Good morning, Filia" The brown haired Gigan greeted timidly even though she towered over inattentive girl.

With a surprised jolt, Filia snapped back into reality and wearily looked up to her peer, trying her best to put on a smile.

"Morning" Filia greeted with a voice as gentle as a kitten (a vast contrast to her parasite).

"I'm collecting last night's assignments for Mrs. Victoria."

"Oh, hang on."

As Filia reached into her courier's bag, the shy, glasses wearing Gigan attempted some small talk.

"Did you watch Annie last night?"

"No, that's not it" mumbled Filia, still shuffling through her bag. "I'm afraid I missed it."

"Um, Well." She tried to continue. " Did you hear about the Skull-"

"Found it." Filia slipped the paper out of her bag and handed it over with a victorious grin. "Here you go."

"Thank you." The Gigan gave her a short nod before moving on.

Filia, her head resting against in her hand, watched the girl for a moment before resuming her thoughts.

Not a moment later, Mrs. Victoria stepped into the classroom. Filia was unphased as the students around her scrambled to their seats (Mrs. Victoria wasn't one to be kept waiting, you see). While she appeared as the mean, soulless teacher every student feared, with an attendance sheet in one hand and a pointer in the other, she was not. In reality, Mrs. Victoria was a mentor both kind and stern who would see her students succeed by any means necessary, even if that meant breaking down their door and shoving them face first into a textbook like she was the great Beowolf.

After adjusting her glasses, Mrs. Victoria went down the list, calling out each name one-by-one. each student responded with the same old "Here" until there was a sudden moment of silence. Without moving her head, Mrs. Victoria glanced at the empty desk in the back before writing an X on the paper.

"Carol. Not here again." Victoria whispered to herself. "It's been two weeks. I hope she's alright."

As the worried teacher continued taking attendance, Filia looked back at the empty desk, which appeared to be gathering dust. She could hear students whispering gossip, rumors of what happened to her or where she went (all lies of course), and witnessed some shoot a glance back at what was once Carol’s.

Carol.

That name rung in her head like it held some great significance. Filia couldn't figure out why, but that name felt...familiar. Carol. Was she an acquaintance? A best friend? A lover?

Filia shook her head of that last thought, earning her a disgruntled growl from the parasite (who was trying to sleep off a night of drinking). "Who was Carol?" was just another question among many that she couldn't answer, though now it was one of the few she wanted answered immediately.

Mrs. Victoria was now discussing the weekend assignment, a sign that class was well underway. For the time being, Filia pushed aside her mental quest for her memories aside and listened. After all, not having memories didn't mean she couldn't learn.

----------------------------------------------------------------

It was the end of the day and the last bell's ringing echoed into the blue afternoon sky. Students poured out from the school's doors like water bursting from a dam. Among them was Filia, with her favorite hat atop her head and her bag full of books (and an issue of Deep Violet) swaying by her side.

The day was a beautiful one, perfect for a walk around town and Filia knew just where to go. Maplecrest Park. Since it was the beginning of Autumn, the leaves were starting to change color and fall. Filia loved how that little part of town looked with those brown and orange colored trees and the way the leaves gently surfed in the breeze on their way to earth. Watching it all while reading a good book was enough to wipe away the endless questions that fogged her mind.

Maplecrest Park wasn't too terribly far; just a few sidewalks, a hill, and a stairway to get there, and when Filia arrived, there was only a few students hanging out, an elderly couple feeding birds, and a man playing Frisbee with his dog. The usual day at the park. Setting her bag down, Filia sat down on the well kept grass (which was comfier than the benches by a long mile) and took in the view of the entire town. If it wasn't for the houses here and there, it would've looked like a sea of autumn trees.

Filia breathed a sigh of relief and smiled. With her mind clear as clear as the sky above, she could finally relax. She reached for her favorite book, opened it to the page she had bookmarked, and began reading. The only thing she needed was a milkshake, but that could wait. For now, she just wanted to bask in the afternoon sun.
Valentine and the Six Stringed Balled
The air of the church was quiet and still, peaceful as all churches are. Lights from the surrounding city shined through the ornate stained glass windows like the noonday sun. The sound of the urban jungle outside we're muffled almost completely by the church's stone structure. With evening mass leaving just moments ago, there was no around to invade her privacy.

Valentine stepped forth from the catacombs into the church's hallowed halls. For only an instant, she shielded her eye from the intense light flooding inside as she continued on. Her every step echoed as she walked passed the pews, thinking of the people sitting there only a short time ago. She stopped in front of the massive statue and looked at it. Valentine always thought it was a rather grotesque thing to worship. She then chuckled at the thought of what would happen if the people discovered what that "Nun" truly was. That thought prompted her to scan the area, making sure that blob wasn't around before sneaking behind the statue.

Valentine pulled down her mask and meekly smiled. Leaning against the statue's stone pedestal was a guitar case. Her guitar case. With a click of the locks, the lid opened to reveal an acoustic guitar, it's polished surface reflecting it's owner's features. Valentine felt a sense of relief fill her soul as her hand, clean of the usual blood and gore, grasped the neck of the instrument. That relief was the only thing that mended her broken sanity these days.

She sat down beside the case and propped the guitar on her lap before plucking a photo pinned inside. A photo of Last Hope, the family she lost to the Skullgirl who enslaved her. She gripped the picture's edge tighter and tighter, a tear building building in her eye, as memories of that fateful battle replayed in her head. She wished it would stop, but it was just one of those things one could never forget.

Valentine wiped away her lonely tear before setting aside that old photo aside and pulling a guitar pick from between her breasts. She looked the the initials etched on it, a letter for every member of Last Hope, and brushed it across the strings. The pitch was slightly off. Valentine twisted the tuning pegs and tried again. Perfect. Valentine closed her eye, breathed deep, and focused.

Not a single song came to mind as Valentine's fingers danced across the strings. She just wanted to play, letting out all the emotions she kept bottled up and hoping that, wherever they were, her fallen sisters-in-arms were watching and listening.

The Church's air, once still and quiet, was now filled with a sad six-stringed ballad. Down in the depths, it's tune caught the ear of another, digging up tear jerking memories of a friend left behind and further fueling the furious fires of vengeance.

This was one I meant to post before the site went down.

Goddess at the Comic Shop - Part One.
It was a quiet day at Gatsby's Great Comics, which wasn't too unusual. The next issue of Annie: Girl of the Stars wasn't due for another month, after all. Nope, it was just Gatsby himself manning the register, a few customers playing Annie: The Trading Card Game in the corner lounge, and Rubi Wednesday stocking shelves.

Humming to the tune coming from Gatsby's radio, Rubi lined the shelves with the latest issues of "Beowolf: Trails of the Grey Wolf". The High Schooler enjoyed working at Gatsby. The pay was good, the boss was nice (a bit rough around the edges, but nice), and best of all, she got to read all the latest issues before they hit the shelves. For a geek like her, it was the dream job of dream jobs! Rubi came to work everyday with smile on her face (even on her day-offs) to read, talk, play, and enjoy the nerdier things in life, which helped take her mind off with the things she had to deal with in school. As they say, it wasn't easy being geeky.

Rubi placed the last issue on the rack just as her boss gave her something else to do.

"When you're done 'ere, get those man-gas from the back and put on the shelves back 'ere." He mumbled as he paged through an old comic book.

"Got it, old man." Rubi replied before chuckling to herself. The way he pronounced mangas was always a good laugh. With the empty box in hand, she walked to the back room, waving to the kids sitting in the lounge along the way. Inside, she tossed the cardboard box with the rest of the empty boxes and grabbed one of the recent shipments of manga before heading back out.

Rubi set the box down, whipped out a pair of box cutters, and sliced through its tape binding. She could smell the paper, fresh from the printing press, as soon as she opened cardboard flaps. Not one to waste time, Rubi immediately went to work putting the mangas in their place. As she shelved one book after the other, she heard the faint jingle of the bell that hung over the door. Since it was a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't an unusual time for customers to come in, the dutiful employer didn't give it a second thought. However, she did lend an ear.

"Hello." Greeted a young woman's voice. "Do you sell manga here?"

"Yeah." Rubi's dapper employer muttered before lighting a cigar. "That aisle over 'ere. The young lady can 'elp if you need anything."

"Thank you, sir."

"Rubi, I'm takin' a smoke break. You're in charge."

"Got it, boss."

With a creak of the chair and the ring of the bells, the comic shop was in her delicate hands. Rubi was half way through the first of three boxes now. She was about to place another one on the shelves when a pale hand stopped her.

"Excuse me, miss." Asked the same voice. "May I see that."

"Oh, sure." Rubi turned to find the most peculiar woman standing in front of her. She wore the hood of a nun with her eyes were shut tight and the body of an hourglass. Rubi shook off her initial disbelief and handed her the manga, resisting the urge to look at her reflection in the hourglass's polished surface. As the woman page through the book (a doujinshi of Beowolf and Taliesin, a bard of the local circus), Rubi couldn't help but wonder if she was a cosplayer (of what, she didn't know) or or a foreigner (probably of a country she never heard of), even the thought that she was an alien crossed her mind. Suddenly, the woman's face turned red and she swiftly closed the book.

"I'll take it!" She said, rather flustered.

"Ok."Rubi said with a short giggle before sliding another manga on the shelf. "Anything else?"

The peculiar woman "looked" around the around the little shop. "Ummm. What else do you sell here? Other than comics?"

"Just the usual, really." With the last book on the shelf, Rubi stood up and brushed her hands. "We have tracings cards, a few anime box sets, and some retro games. Oh, and there's some arcade machines in the lounge."

"Do you have anything...collectible?" She said with stars in her eyes. "Anything at all?"

"Comic-wise, sure, but I might to check the back for the anime stuff. I can go look if you want."

"Yes, please."

"Alrighty." Rubi picked up the empty box and went into the back room, tossing it with the rest of the trash before opening another box. The first one just had more manga, but the second box had just what she was looking for. Inside was a plethora of figurines, plushes, and posters, perfect for the collector like the stranger. With a satisfied grin, she lifted took the box and quickly headed out.

As she returned to the aisle of manga and anime, Rubi was surprised to find peculiar woman was now holding a pile of merchandise.

"A little help." She stammered, almost dropping them all. "Please?"

Rubi dropped the box and quickly rushed to the register for a bag. It was in the nick of time that she able to catch it all.

"That was close." Chuckled Rubi as she handed the bag to the hourglass girl.

"Yes, it was." She giggled back. "It appears I let myself go."

"Anyway, I have the rest of the limited edition stuff, so you can-"

"I'll take one of everything." She calmly interrupted with a slight smile. Everyone stopped what they were doing and stared.

"Wha-What?"

"One of everything." The girl cocked her head to the side, a look of confusion painted on her innocent face."Is something the matter?"

"Ma'am...there's over seven hundred dollars worth of stuff in that box."

"Oh." She giggled. "Money isn't an issue."

"Um...ok. You can pick out what you like while I get you a bag." Rubi took a second glance at the box. "Or two."

"Thank you, but before you leave." The girl offered her pale, delicate hand. "Might I ask for your name."

"It's Rubi." Rubi took her hand. "Rubi Wednesday."

"My name is Aeon." She said with a slight smile. "A pleasure to meet you, Rubi."

"Likewise." Rubi replied before heading to the counter. As she grabbed a few more bags. Gatsby returned from his (rather long) smoke break.

"I'm back." The old man coughed. "Is that costumed cat still here?"

"Yeah Boss, and she just bought herself nine-hundred, twenty dollars worth of merchandise."

"What did you say?" He asked with some skepticism.

"You can look for If you don't believe me." Said Rubi flicking her head In Aeon's direction.

Gatsby grunted dismissively, but when he saw Aeon picking out a plush doll and setting it down beside a pile of stuff, not only did his jaw hit the ground, it pierced the earth and was now heading into deep space. The old man quickly turned to his employee with dollar signs sparkling in his eyes.

"Rubi, you know more about that stuff than I do. You do everything she says." He hastily ordered, excited that someone was being the stuff "Don't worry about everything else. I'll take care of it. Got it?"

"Got it." Rubi said before standing up with two paper bags in hand. "Leave it to me, Boss."
Edit: Now with the lore recently revealed, this story is rendered moot. :(

I'll give this a shot, though keep in mind this is a very rough attempt.

The search for the Skullheart brought about many possible candidates, Double noticed, as she went about doing her works for her mistresses. Her orders for now were simply to work alongside Valentine and Marie, the Skullgirl.

Already Double had observed a few skirmishes today. When she had last seen Valentine she was having a battle against the princess of Canopy Kingdom and commander of the Egrets known as Parasoul, and the experiment known as Painwheel was engaged with the Anti-Skullgirl Unit known as Peacock.

At the moment Double observed a heated duel between the Schoolgirl Filia and her parasite Samson, against the Fishbone Gang's lone survivor Nadia Fortune.

The fight had been going on for some time, but Double was fairly certain an ending was in sight and both participants would be far too weakened to continue the search for the Skullheart, at least for the night.

As she stood on the rooftop, the formless monstrosity realized there were more people that her mistresses required her to keep up with. One by name was Cerebella and the Medicis. With her shapeshifting powers she could easily pose as the Diamond of Cirque des Cartes and learn all she needed from Lorenzo Medici's son Vitale, and the henchmen Lawrence and Ricardo. Leaving the New Meridian scene, Double missed the result of the battle between Filia and Ms. Fortune.

Filia was using Samson's long, lustrous hair tendrils for many attacks. She had just used Thinning Shears to try and clamp down on the Purrfect Treasure's detached cranium. Luckily the chatty cat had scooped up her skull just before Samson could chomp down, saving her some pain before she reattached it and jumped before kicking.

"FEEL MY HEEL!" she said before kicking Filia, who blocked deftly. Though she took less damage, the heavy blow hurt the ravenous haired woman, who responded in kind with her Ariel Rave. The hair flip hit the feline head on and made her recoil.

By now both female fighters were drained and hurt badly. One more hit could cause either to lose consciousness.

"This cat's not half bad, but we can't afford to let her get "a-head" of us." Samson said, making Filia sigh.

"Please Samson, no more puns. If I hear one more I might just lose it." As she said this she looked directly at Ms. Fortune who seemed to be on her last legs as well. "Why don't we just see if we can resolve this peacefully."

"You pick now to do that? Listen we can win this, just go for the last strike."

"Oh...Alright I guess." Filia replied a bit reluctantly. Meanwhile Ms, Fortune was thinking on the battle's progress.

'Damn, I think I'm gonna need a serious catnap if I make it out of this in one piece. I don't know why that girl even started to bother with me in the first place. Was it that hairball of hers?' Nadia thought. 'Maybe I can reason with her...If I don't keel over from hunger first.'

As Filia began to walk over, and Ms. Fortune did the same they both plopped down to their knees in pain. Not pain from claw scratches or hair-cuts, but hunger.

The duo had worked up quite the appetite and could barely go on.

"Urgh...Must...Eat...I'd kill for some chips." Ms. Fortune muttered.

"You and me both sister." Samson coughed.

"You know...Madman's Cafe has chips...How about we talk things over there?" Filia offered.

Though she was weakened and tired, Nadia decided she had just enough energy to walk her head over to Filia.

"Okay, but I need to leave my body here for now. I can barely move it."

"Sure. Let's go." Filia grunted as she rose, holding the Feral's detached head in her arms. "Will your body be fine here?"

"Yeah, trust met it will cat-ch up with us soon."

After that pun Filia let out an involuntary groan of exasperation.

An hour and a half later, several customers at Madman's were unable to believe their eyes. A girl was slurping down probably her fifth milkshake while a strange mouth on her hair and a disembodied head voraciously devoured several platefuls of food.

"Omnomnomnomnomnom!" Nadia munched as she ate. Filia was wondering exactly where the food went since her body wasn't there to take it in. After a few more "omnom"s Ms. Fortune was full. "Deeeelish! Thanks for the meal."

"No problem. Say, I didn't catch your name." Filia began. "My name is Filia, and my um...Partner, is Samson."

"Yo." The parasite said between bites.

"Nadia. Nadia Fortune." Ms. Fortune said. "The last of the Fish Bone Gang and the world's most purr-fect purloiner."

"You're a theif?"

"Kinda, but I do the whole Robin Hood thing. Swearsies."

"Because you can trust a theif's word, right?"

"Hey, I was honest abotu my job hairball. Besides if I recall right you instigated our little fight!"

"Couldn't be sure if you were in our way of getting the Skullheart."

"You're after the Skullheart too?"

"We are. I want to use it to get my memories back. I lost them some time ago and I want to know who I was...Who I really am." Filia explained wistfully. Hearing this made Ms. Fortune get a sense of Filia's pain. She felt a wave of sympathy wash over her for this poor, amnesiac stranger.

"Well I can tell you are a good person, that much you should know." Ms. Fortune said honestly and with a gentle smile that Filia returned. "Anyway I'm after the Skullheart to wish back my friends frm the Fishbone gang. The Medici's killed them and I want them back. The Fishbone gang was more than my friends, they were my family."

"It sounds like you have a good reason for wanting the Skullheart too...The Skullheart only allows one wish, right?" Filia asked Samson.

"Yeah, then it goes away. So you both can't get what you want."

"I see...Nadia, I don't want to get in the way of your desires, and I can find out who I am someway else, s-"

"Sorry, but I gotta cut you off right there. Filia, you're a nice girl and I don't think we're the only ones looking for the Skullheart. We can team up now and even the odds, and then sort this whole thing out later when the Skullheart is in front of us. Until then, why don't we team up?" Nadia said before she heard the door bell clang. "Ah, there's my body now."

After a moment Nadia's body came over and placed her head back on her neck, reattaching her to it. Once it was done Nadia offered Filia her hand. With a smile, Filia took it.

"Alright Nadia, we're a team."

"Great, so why don't we take another go at searching for the Skullheart in the morning, all three of us?"

"Sure. We'll find it in no time."

"Hell yeah!"

"Heh, gotta say, I love Samson's Can "'do" attitude!"

With a nervous chuckle, both Samson and Filia realized they'd have to steel themselves for more puns from their new friend.

There we go~! I might give a more serious go at it later.

(The story goes here)
It's a decent start, although I agree it could use some polish. Keep at it, and hopefully we'll get to read more of your work soon :).

You might benefit from ramming this through a word-cruncher like Microsoft Word. It'll be able to straighten out a few minor typos that I see here and there.

Thanks, though I want to tie in each storymode as best I can without any major contradictions. Even so I've only played Ms. Fortune's story and seen Filia, Peacock, and Cerebella's second hand. I still need more intel on Parasoul and Painwheel.

So far the only one I've read over at Fanfiction.net that I enjoyed was Conductive. Probably because it partially has to do with Leduc. (I do love the Lab 8 characters)

In my opinion, that's not a bad thing. XD
What, nobody's biting? Okay, okay. I'll bite.

WHY MY GOOD AND DEAR FRIEND - WHY PERCHANCE WOULD YOU HOLD SUCH AN INTERESTING VIEW, CONSIDERING THAT YOU YOURSELF ENJOY WRITING FOR THIS FANDOM AND SUCH?

Oh, Shi-I just reread what I wrote a month ago and realized I made a fatal error! D: I must change this posthaste! Forgive me, o great cat bearded one!

I found this pretty solid fanfic the other day. Murky, shocking and thrilling all at once, I won't spoil too much.
"Skullgirl, Interrupted" by Draenog Glas
Read carefully with this one. Much of Draenog's writing bears fairly misanthropic overtones.

It seems that 'Conductive' has drawn quite a devoted following. For those of you who are interested in Conductive but can't be bothered to search it up, I added a link to it in the OP.

If anyone else wants to link their written works listed and appraised in this thread, I would highly recommend it.

I was wondering if I could possibly present an item here just as a subject of discussion.
https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9719734/1/Kyrogue-Mizuchi-Skullgirls-Adventures
Now, this... fascinating thing, showed up on Fanfiction in late September. To be a good sport, I will reserve my subjective opinion on this until others have had a chance to read it. However I do find it fascinating that, statistically, this item has managed to become one of the more 'popular' items under the Skullgirls category on Fanfiction.net.

I now surrender the floor. What are your opinions on all this? 'Yea' or 'Nay'?

>Follow the Adventure of Kyrogue Mizuchi in the world of skullgirls and his random perverted ways with most of them. Rated T for Profanity, Blood, and possibility some lemon. The image you see is Kyrogue Mizuchi

I literally need to see nothing else. It's a shitty sue story.

I couldn't read it for even half of the first chapter. It was very awkward to read.

That being said, I honestly don't know WHY it's popular, you'd think more people would be done with the self-insert stories.

It's been a while since I done anything "Skullgirls"-related, but I can't get this image of a new character out of my head, so I decided to put him here. Maybe I can make a new story out of it.

It's a large-sized character like Big Band and Panzerfaust.
An "not-named-yet" giant (possibly gigan) who has a fight style like
-Shank from "Shank"
-Abyss (1st form) from "Marvel vs. Capcom 2"
-Megaman from "Marvel vs. Capcom"
-Hugo from "Street fighter III"

This giant has a little girl named Rose who has shattered legs and clings to his back everywhere (even in battle)
It would've been a symbiotic relationship, but there's nothing wrong with the giant at all, so technically, Rose is a parasite.
the relationship is undetermined (meaning if blood-related or not), but they have a really good friendship

Their fight pattern would be four different fighting-styles
The giant with the Rose on his back and the 3 variations of him without Rose when he puts her down.
His weakness is if the Rose is on the ground AND off-screen, the giant would frequently look back to check up on her, ending any combo or block at a random time.
With Rose on the ground and nearby, The giant has two bonuses.

The first is that he has three weapons at his disposal (Rose can and switch them for the giant when close-by)
-A katana (for combo-extenders)
-A Chain knuckles (for grabs and throws)
-A Sledge hammer (for heavy attacks and knock-backs)

The second is that in Tag battles, whenever a ally/opponent tags out, she/he strikes a pose before leaving, warning the opponent for an upcoming surprise.
-If Rose on the ground and an ally/opponent tags for the giant, he/she will leave without striking a pose. Rose will do a pose instead and the giant giant will surprise the opponent in the direction depending if Rose is to the left or right of the opponent.

Other than that, I thought of these costumes that helped imagine a clearer image of them
-Hugo and Poison (Street fighter/Final Fight)
-Annita and Donovan (Darkstalkers)
-Toguro and elder Toguro (Yu Yu Hakusho)
-Kenpachi and Yachiru (Bleach)
-Eye-Brawl (Skylanders)
-Big Daddy and Little Sister (Bioshock)
-Quasimodo and Esmeralda (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)

Maybe somebody has a story they can make for him.

I need some yaoi fanfics of skullgirls. :(

first sentence in the fan fic i'm writing is

"I can show you where you can stick that umbrella, princess", val moaned seductively.

(i'm not serious but i do write stuff like this for lolz)

I have openly considered writing a sorta fan fic/background story for my Ottomo rp blog on Tumblr. It would pertain to that Blog's interpretation of Ottomo and Tom. Still need a beta reader tho. And a working draft.

I think this thread would be better suited to the art forum, tbh. Fanfiction, by definition, has nothing to do with lore.

On-topic, I have this godsend of a friend who has written several short-format stories (yes, SG-related) based on prompts we've discussed in various chats on Skype. They'll all pretty much take your heart and smash 'em into a million pieces. (We like pain, apparently.) But she's a bit shy about it, so I'd have to ask her for permission to publish them publicly. Hmm.

They'll all pretty much take your heart and smash 'em into a million pieces. (We like pain, apparently.) But she's a bit shy about it, so I'd have to ask her for permission to publish them publicly. Hmm.
I would be on board with this, obviously with her permission but I can hope.

Hi SH forums! First time poster here, just wanted to share a fanfic I've been working on for the last few months:

https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10241553/1/The-Ballad-of-Squigly

I'm pretty sure it's the only specifically Squigly-centric fanfic on the internet atm, which is a shame because I absolutely <3 her. Every other fanfic I've found with her in it has OCs, which I'm not a fan of. Also, I think it may be the longest SG fanfic anyone's attempted so far.

It should be updated later today after I look over the next chapter a bit. I'd love to hear you guys' thoughts and opinions on it. Feel free to ask me any questions and give any critiques! Also, I understand FF.net doesn't have the greatest reputation, so is there anywhere else I could post it? Would it be intrusive if I were to make a thread for it on this forum?

EDIT: Chapter 8-1 is up. BTW, I'm kinda tired of just having such nondescript chapter names. If you guys wanna help me come up with names for the chapters, that'd be great!

No way, you wrote that? I read it a few days ago and it was surprisingly good.

Dang, you guys are actually selling me on this. Might have to check it out sometime. Deviantart is popular, having the advantage of being able to get more readers by submitting it to groups. If you want to look like a no-fucks-given-badass, you can't go wrong with google docs.

IMO starting a thread for it would be fine (look at all them art threads!), but still link to it. Just like pasting it in there would be really hard to read.

Oh wait I didn't even realize that there was more to the story past the Prologue, I was confused when you said that no one has attempted the length you've written because I thought it was just a short story. Well I guess I have some more reading to do.

I have to say, that story gets REALLY dark later on. However, something that's NOT variable is its quality, which is very high.

Looks like it kinda sucks to be a named character, though. ESPECIALLY Lorenzo and Squigly.

Thanks for the feedback, guys! I'm happy to hear that my story is being well received! Also, thanks to anyone who has read it and been keeping up with it! :)

Chapter 8-2 is now up. I would really like feedback on this one, particularly on how the fight turned out, since I'm trying to gear up for writing the end battles.

Looking for one With Valentine and the last hope or even Nadia Fortune and the fishbone gang

Okay, I'm looking over the SG section of Fanfiction as of 30/06/2014, and it's nice to see how the SG fics section has steadily been increasing over time. Yet I found one story. And the backdrop seems a little too familiar for me to be comfortable. I'd like to put it here.

https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10486766/1/Skullgirls-Blessings-Of-Fortuna

Now, my first thought upon reading this was "Is this what being ridiculed feels like?" I mean, come on, I'm not the first to acknowledge that my writing isn't -good- but is my work so cheap that it is comparable to this? If my writing causes this same level of pain to others, then I can only but say that I'm sorry. Oh God, if only I knew.

I think I need an aspirin. I'm sorry, Wilson.

Edit: Okay. No aspirin. Still, I've calmed down now.

On a completely different note, I really enjoy that the canon writers for Skullgirls have a way of throwing a bone to the fanfiction community with every new morsel of canon info they release. Especially with all the writing potential from Big Band's story mode. I mean seriously, there's potential scattered throughout it for really great one-shots, full-length stories, etc. It's like they have a way of touching every base without threatening the widely-established theories in the lore community.

Read it and loved it.
Ms. Fortune looks at me like she's going to kill me, please don't kill me.
Too late you already wrote this thing!
"Ms. Fortune, you have the life gem inside your body correct?"

Ms. Fortune takes off her head, showing me that she has the life gem inside of her; I grab my bag and begin explaining the plan.
Yep, It's still in there.
Ms. Fortune gets comfortable in my bag and the detective waits outside the building.
That's so adorable, I'm picturing Ms. Fortune climbing in a bag all cat like, purrin', bein' curious!
"YO, SHE BITCH!"
"WHAT UP, HOMIE!"
My eyesight was fading but the plan to kill the Black Dahlia went according to plan, the cut was big enough for Ms. Fortune's hands and feet to go inside her body and kill her from the inside.
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuude.
"What does the, "G" stand for?"

I couldn't help but chuckle.

"It stands for G."

"What?"

"G is my actual name."
Mind = blown
"My name is Minette."

"Minette, that's a beautiful name."

Minette Blushes.

"Thank you."
MinettexReader next, pls.
I did a few things for them, one of them was an assassination of a man, I never killed a man before and when I did the job they were impressed, I did more work than any of those grunts could ever do. But I started to go insane, I've never thought that I would kill a man, if it weren't for my friend cerebella for helping me go through that, I don't think I'd be here right now."
It's good he's managed to put that awful experience behind him.
"I challenge you to an eating challenge, First person to eat most of this wins."
That's some vague ruleset.
Nadia giggles then lets out a yawn and a stretch.
And then she curls up in a bag <3 <3 <3
"Umm Nadia, where am I supposed to go, I have no place to stay."

"Oh, well you could stay with me."

Whoa, wait, WHAT, stay at… her place? I know we just went out to dinner but already?

"Really?"

"Sure I have a spare bed that you can use"

Oh… So that's what she meant, Silly G not all fantasy's will come true. Nadia goes to Minette and gives her a big hug.
I changed my mind: NadiaxReader pls.
I open up my bag and I show her one of the gold bars.

"I took this gold from the mafia before I destroyed the place; you know what you take this."

I give her a gold bar; Nadia is still surprised and remains speechless.

"You've done so much in little innsmouth it's time you got rewarded for it, you do whatever you want with it."
NadiaxSugarDaddy!Reader

I don't have time to read the next six chapters :(

I'm confused about your post, are you saying my story is bad? or are you jealous?
