Feature Suggestion's

Would it be better to introduce new proposed mechanics in SG through future betas and have them tested to see if they are beneficial or disruptive to the gameplay flow and other things?
That's literally how the game works right now. We have a beta branch on the PC version that is used to test new balance changes which might be implemented or rejected depending on player feedbacks and at the developers' digression.

I don't know if this is already suggested or not, but since I heard the networking refactors can add new features to online multiplayer, I am thinking of a new feature I want. An option for lobby hosts to ban and allow characters and stages during online lobbies like in Smash Ultimate, but must have a minimum of six characters and one stage enabled. This helps when it comes to running special online casuals and tournaments that restrict to characters you like to see and stages you like to play on.

I'm banning the following characters and stages below for my online casual.

Characters I'm Banning:

Painwheel
Valentine
Eliza
Fukua

Stages I'm Banning:

River King Casino
Medici Tower
Rooftops Assault
Bath of Tefnut
Bath of Sehkmet
Little Innsmouth
Lab 8
Lab 8 (Empty)
Maplecrest
Nightmare Crest
Gehenna
Sound Stage 15
Boardwalk

Also, give lobby hosts the option to disband lobbies because if the initial lobby host leaves, another user becomes the new lobby host.

please, make an in-game chat, I can't stand getting destroyed and then having to add them on steam just to compliment them or ask them for advice
I would kill for an in-game chat feature so that players can communicate with others as well. It'll really help improve the social aspect of the game overall since the game currently lacks it IMO.

I also don't think chat would be a great idea. When would the chat even pop up? During the rematch screen? During lobbies?

I hate to break it to you, but an ingame chat wouldn't be a good idea to be implemented to 2nd Encore. But what I want to be implemented is the option for lobby hosts to ban and allow characters and stages and disband lobbies instead of leaving because the lobby host leaving lobbies makes the member the new lobby host.

Yeah. You're right. What you just said would be a much better idea to implement to the online portion of the game than what I came up with.

On a more constructive note, I think instead of a full-on in-game chat, there could be a bunch of canned messages that you could send after the game or in the lobby, like "GG" or "Let's rematch" or whatever, and it would pop up to the opponent or the members of the lobby. For actual chat I think it's better to leave it to Steam or the console platform's chat function.

Hey, tristePinguino has inspired me to want the characters' announcer call to be implemented.

Please add a toggle to filter out wifi players from lobbies and Quickmatch

I got some suggestions:
1) The tutorial features a lesson for how to deal (with) resets.
2) The tutorial allows a demonstration of sections of a lesson to be optionally played and restarting a part of the lesson played
3) List of visual indicators:
A) light spark for available charge inputs
B) training mode's cross-up indicators
4) New input display: "on-character"; an option that displays active inputs on the current character and current directional inputs around the character. Make input displays available during the tutorial.

That's all I have for today

speaking of features...there was a TON of amazing galaxy brain suggestions on discord a couple years ago when feedback was being taken about features. Not saying to make it writable, but would love for that channel to be opened again assuming the content is still there please. Planned on recording most of what was there but was taken down before I could. FGs in general could benefit from a lot there

I really wished they were archived so we could see those for ourselves. It's really beneficial to reactivate that discord server, look for any smart suggestions and apply it to the game.

I would like a mode where we can choose any characters we want to play to fight Boss Marie. But Playable Marie must also be included.

That's already in Challenge Mode.

Yeah, you can already fight regular boss Marie as anybody by just playing the Arcade mode (although obviously you need to go through a few characters first but that's pretty trivial). If you want to fight against Marie 300% as any character it's in Challenge as missingno said.

I have more new challenges I just thought of.

Idol Showdown:

Your Character: Annie
Opponent's Character: Cerebella
Stage: Sound Stage 15
Description: Beowulf's has his two idols, but only one is the most dominant idol.

Orphan Buddies:

Your character: Marie (Playable)
Opponent's character: Peacock
Stage: Hilgard's Castle
Description: Peacock is reunited with her best friend that became the Skullgirl, who become playable.

NMO Smackdown:

Your character: Beowulf
Opponent's character: Cerebella
Stage: NMO Arena
Description: It's a all out grappling smackdown between a clown and a wrestler!

Blood and Gem:

Your character: Eliza
Opponent's character: Ms. Fortune
Stage: Little Innsmouth (Day)
Description: In search of her tasty treat, Eliza has found someone with a savory delicacy. From the Feral's blood.

Abominable Vengeance:

Your character: Painwheel
Opponent's character: Valentine
Stage: Grand Cathedral (Night)
Description: Carol has turned into an unholy abomination and she seeks vengeance on Valentine!

A Friend in Need:

Your character: Filia
Opponent's character: Painwheel
Stage: Little Innsmouth (Night)
Description: Only Filia can pacify her best friend.

1v2 Parasite Showdown:

Your character: Eliza
Opponent's characters: Filia and Squigly
Stage: Bath of Sehkmet
Description: When water turns into blood, Eliza is here to prove that Sehkmet is far more superior than their Parasites.

Playable Marie vs. Boss Marie:

Your character: Marie (Playable)
Opponent's character: Marie (Boss)
Stage: Final Atrium
Description: Two Maries of each version are fighting against each other?!

Playable Marie 300%:

Your character: Any
Opponent's character Marie (Playable)
Stage: Final Atrium
Description: Marie may be relegated to her playable self, but she has retained that buff.

characters' announcer call

Ooh, that'd be fun! Like in Persona Arena???

That'd take a lot of additional voice work, though.
I'd especially enjoy a "Random" Announcer option if additional Announcer options ever come around.

Not just in Persona 4 Arena. Also in Under Night In-Birth, Guilty Gear Xrd, BlazBlue, Melty Blood: Type Lumina and Mortal Kombat 11. But you're right. It can take a lot of additional voice work.

Hey, since the devs are arranging the recording sessions for the large returning cast to voice the myriad of characters in a process of voicing the Season 1 Pass characters' stories, not only I want character announcer packs. How about some generic and character-specific 1v1 down period voice lines and some in-game intro dialogues other than the cheeseburger one? I love hearing those.

In that thread where we want what post Season 1 Pass content we want, I wanted CPU vs. CPU battles, but decided to go into detail about it here. CPU vs. CPU battles are helpful when it comes to the following below.

-Listening to your own music
-Hosting CPU vs. CPU tournaments
-Commentary

A setting to turn censorship on or off because a lot of people are still not forgetting about the controversial update. I just don't get what makes censoring so bad. I mean, I don't appreciate the censorship, but I still support Skullgirls regardless of that. Especially when I'm hyped for Marie, considering her Mobile release is approaching and I'm a stepping stone away from updating my projects to have her final pose.

Can there be a toggle that changes the patch version of a character in a similar vein to USF4's toggle? I want to see how other characters face off when toggled to their top-teir self from different patch versions, like pre-2017 patch double vs launched patch annie.

Now that Marie is fully released to round out the Season 1 Pass on all platforms, what we really need is crossplay as a cherry on top.

Not certain this is the place for this, but it doesn't feel appropriate for beta discussion, so:

I think it'd be cute if Peacock's bombs left opponents smokey the way Dahlia's red ammunition does (at least Lenny).
I understand there're much higher priority topics being discussed now though, lol. ...Could this even be considered a "feature"?

Can we have a new input option for dashing by only tapping forward or backwards? Makes it easy to input dash without using a macro or double tapping everytime.

Would be nice if there was a separate volume setting for the QM alert for when you find a game. I always keep my volume pretty low so being able to have a louder alert without messing up my settings would be great.

Not entirely sure how feasible this would be coding wise, but would it be possible to add a kind of "Frames over/under" (I.e, how many frames you missed by, or how many frames you were "safe" by) option to training mode? Maybe as part of the hitstun bar or frame advantage display?

Is it intentional that KO cries don't play for KO's via Fenrir Drive?
