USA [Feb 17, 2018] The Final Xanadu Monthly - Lock-In! (Arbutus, MD)

Boy, oh boy, I sure hope I put this thread in the right place. I'll try to stay on topic...

I know what you're thinking. "We just had a monthly." Well, yeah, that's true. But MAGFest is on our usual weekend and that's kind of a big deal for DMV, so we got what the Xan boys could make work.

This will be the greatest display of Squigly fanart... what's that? *whisper*whisper* I'm being told I can't talk about that here. I guess DM me or something. *whisper*whisper* Okay, nevermind. Those are being watched too.

Well, I guess we'll have to settle for an old-fashioned video game tournament.

It'll be the same deal as usual. The monthly starts at 2pm, with doors opening a little before that. The Xanadu monthly is $10.00 at the door. SG will have signups starting at 6pm with a $5.00 entry. The tournament will start at 7:30pm. Setup(s) will (preferably) be on PS3.

"But Elky, what else can I do other than play SG, order food, and 'go get something from my car'?" Well, Ultra Street Fighter 4, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Guilty Gear Xrd, Under Night in-Birth, and several other games will be all over the place, so you will NOT be bored. Even some of those 3D games are there.

@ElkyDori please don't keep remaking a thread for a recurring tournament.

Instead, just pick or make one thread, and edit it.
You can move the date up, and change the title if appropriate.

Ok cool, plenty of time to call off. So like... I feel bad missing the christmas xan where I promised I was gonna bake cookies but I'm worried no one is gonna want to eat cookies in february. If i made some would people eat them? They would be good-ass cookies, none of that lame chocolate-chip BS
 
If I'm in the area (I go to school in southern VA), I'll definitely try to make it! :)

I go to Radford (10 min away from Tech), so I don't think it's very feasible but thank you for the offer! :)

Please stop making a new thread for every Xanadu Monthly. Make one thread and update the first post and just advance the date in the event to the next date you have one.

DO NOT YELL AT ME ABOUT THINGS I DIDN'T DO.

I edited the one I made from December and turned it into one for February. I abandoned the one from January. That was the only extra one I made.

This is Ken's thread. I can't edit the original post.

It automatically made ken's post the first post. When I merged i was trying to keep elki the owner. I merged them into the most recent thread which elki was the owner of.

moved any posts older than elki's first so he can edit the first post now.

Does the tourney end around midnight? Or are you guys just playing casuals after it's over? Because something came up and I don't think I can get there until 5 at the earliest.
 
The venue stays open until then, usually a little later. We're usually wrapping up tournament for SG by 9:00.

Mid-West part of Jersey, but still in the southern half (Camden). I actually haven't heard of INFLICT. But I found your post about it and it's 2 hours away from me. I want to come to Xanadu, but I definitely want to help Skullgirls be on the stream lineup. It'll be a HUGE step forward for the community

....why can't I clone myself?

Wait what why can't they post a new thread every month for Xanadu?! That makes it way more frustrating for people trying to figure out the dates.

Why should the DMV be punished for being the only non-cali region with consistent locals?
