final fantasy 14 arr thread

Okay, just to make this a little easier if an explanation, this is probably one of the farthest things in terms of tonal shifts from the last crossover event, Yo-kai Watch.

So Yoshi-P wore a Spider-Man shirt at the Fanfest in tokyo, and since the Scarlet Witch shirt pointed towards Red Mage, people already guessing.
The guesses are pretty crazy, the most insane being Samurai (Sam Raimi directed Spider-Man 1-3, Sounds like Samurai)
But the most likely is Blue Mage (Peter Parker was bitten by a spider and gained its powers, like how a Blue Mage takes hits from monsters and gains their powers)
The local Dota 2 Douchebag in my discord thinks Blue Mage won't happen because a while ago Yoshi-P said Blue Mage would be solo only, and proceeded to say it's Samurai (Again, insane and unlikely), Beastmaster, or...Puppeteer?

I still say Blue Mage is most likely.

blue mages would completely dismantle the major hierarchy of classes in the game.

I also heard about the Switch port being a possibility. Now if this is true, there is just one thing I ask in return: no meddling in any of the localization for this game. Everybody gets the same thing, no "thinking of the brand" for their port.

We either get everything or they go back to nothing if you ask me.

Completely unsure if this is spoilers are not, but Im p sure this is one of the best cinematic battles FFXIV has cooked up thus far.

 
Well, don't forget, the engine TE game uses was always held back by PS3.
What we're seeing in this engine is mostly uninhibited.

The only thing I'm worried about with it having its limiters unlocked is making the game eventually harder to play or making it less than 60 fps for some computers, like mine, but I think we'll be fine, since the engine, unlimited or not, is at least 5 years old at this point I still think it'll be good for lower end machines in the foreseeable future (tho my computers awesome so I think I'm fine. )
 
I'm glad I'm waiting on getting back in FF14 lol. I've been playing a lot of Blade and Soul recently, but since FF14 went free awhile I can actually justify getting on again. I know its only till a certain level but I hardly ever get to the late game of an MMO, I jump around games to much. Might still pick up Stormblood just to support FF14, its a legit good MMO that gives WoW the competition it really needs

WHAT THE FUCK.
I was kind of Hyped for Shadowbringers before, about as much as I was for the Far Eastern part of Stormblood, but now I'm just stuck on this goddamn hype train and I can't get off.
Especially since there's reports the writers of Heavensward came back for Shadowbringers (and also the Dark Knight writer)
