This would be much easier if you liked a better Final Fantasy.

How good are the reviews? I got a long backlog to sipher, but if it's great I'll just buy it now.
 
I would wait a little. I only saw the comment section of an IGN video because the comments told me how terrible the reviewer was as expected. Many people said they liked it, but I'm waiting for someone I know better or is more trustworthy to make some comments on it.
 
It's got an 84 on Metacritic. Personally, I probably won't get it. I really like the boy band quartet, especially after watching Brotherhood, but the battle system really bores me.
 
22 hours in and the side quests are somewhat simple. The mob hunts are challenging and fun.
The battle system is hit and miss, but once you get the parry mechanic down they will start to fear you.
I like the fishing mini game, it's more indepth than Yakuza's fishing when you take in the line durability and lure types.

I'm having a blast just exploring and taking a break from the main story.

I'm told the combat in xv feels lame and the story is a mess as usual.

I'm so hype for samurai. It was my favorite class to play in FF Explorers and I have a feeling the class will fit right in with the combat system.
