Today on Chortling at EA's expense.
Someone pointed out that in Star Wars Battlefront 2: To unlock iconic characters like Luke and Darth Vader as playable Heroes, you'd have to play upwards of 40 hours to unlock ONE of them.
EA responded to this on Reddit by saynig the intent was for it to be "rewarding" or something to that effect.
It proceeded to become the most downvoted response on Reddit History.
EA Proceeded to call people asking for the time requirements to change it "Armchair Developers"
So after that, they lowered the cost, but also lowered the credits you got from completing Campaign, basically changing nothing.
Oh, and you want some more oil on this dumpster fire?
You wanna have fun playing Arcade and also earn some Credits?
Well, there's a limit to how you can earn.
After you reach that limit, you can't earn ANY for 3 hours.
Reach that cap again? 14 Hours.
Reach that AGAIN somehow? 24 Hours.
They somehow turned Battlefront 2 into a Freemium Game that costs $60 to get in the first place.
TL;DR: Battlefront 2 could've been a good game but EA happened.
Maybe consider buying something else this month if you had plans
One more thing.
After a mass amount of refunds on Battlefront 2, EA REMOVED The Refund button on their site. Forcing you to do it over the phone or in chat.
Fun.
