(I go by Pickles on steam so some people will probably know me better by that name)
UPDATED INFO:
Team: Double/Filia/Big Band
MAIN THINGS TO WORK ON:
-Learn what other characters have to stop my approach and get some character-specific approach strategies.
-Following that, be aware of what options other characters have in any given situation and be able to adjust my gameplan accordingly.
-Practice being able to PBGC 100% of the time, it's very key to escaping pressure that is otherwise impossible to deal with.
-Don't always pushblock, airblocking into landcanceling is a very powerful tool for dealing with a lot of characters.
Other problem points:
-Need to hitconfirm more, I get a lot of stray hits that I could probably do more off of. I've gotten better at this I think.
-Stop upbacking as much, it's a bad habit. (Have gotten better but still do this more than I should)
-Vary my options for approach/opening people up, I go for airdashes and overheads pretty much all the time, I should use things like run up -> low more, and generally play more of a ground game (I've gotten much better about opening people up on the ground but I am still airborne more than I probably should be)
-Absolute guard to block high/low. I do at least attempt this almost every time i PB now, with varying degrees of success.
- Use normals to anti-air on defense. I have gotten better about using s.hp to antiair as Filia but this could still use work.

I thought this would be a good time to make one of these, ironically I was waiting until I reached a certain threshold of not being awful to do this, I'm not sure why but hey here we are.
Team: Filia/Big Band, it's been that way for a while and I have no intention of dropping either one nor going to a trio, HOWEVER I still do want to pick up a 3rd character just so I have the option of playing a different team depending on matchup (I haven't really been to any tournaments so I'm not sure if you usually have to lock in a team for that or what, maybe this will all end up being pointless). In particular, vs parasouls I have a hard time with this team so I'm trying to learn a new character (probably Eliza) to sub in for filia (probably) or big band (less likely because I like band anchor, but possible).
Things to learn:
Filia:
-Full combo off of throw/gregor, I don't really have one and I basically just s.hp into a chain ending in j.mp so I can fastfall and reset, which not only means I'm unable to kill in that situation if they aren't dead by the rest point, but also means I have exactly one reset off of throw/gregor and it's on the ground so I can get reversaled.
-Learn to play against Parasoul, this probably involves developing a ground game and actually using ringlet once in a while.
-Stopbeing Wing using Updo so liberally, I started to do it because when I started using it it actually worked, and reinforced a bad habit for me I think. It's a useful tool but if I get read I'm screwed.
Big Band:
-LEARN AN OTGLESS COMBO. I can't get the timing quite down for some reason on them but right now my only combo is the day 1 basic, which I have 2 resets off of and they are both icky's. Going along with this:
-Learn oki stuff, I'm studying alexo's steam guide which I think has a lot of helpful stuff on big band but I haven't really put it into practice.
-Use air normals that aren't j.lk to contest.
General:
-Reliable PBGC, I can sometimes do it but a lot of the times I fuck up the timing or the input because I'm panicking, which leads into my 2nd note:
-Don't panic. When I get pressured or I'm in a situation where I don't really know what's going on I just sort of try to press good buttons, I need to keep a clear head and be more aware of the situation I'm in.
-Don't upback so damn much, I keep cornering myself or getting hit. I (think at least) have gotten better about not upbacking in the corner as a default option, but I still do it more than I should, and again I keep doing it at neutral/midscreen when I probably don't have to.
-Get out to locals, I live in mid/north VT so the closest SG scene is about 4 hours away but I'm hoping to get down to GU more often (starting with this Saturday) to get not-online experience.
-block high :^)
