USA High-level players in Boston area attending PAX East

As the thread title indicates, we're looking for 4 high-level players in the Boston area to participate in a special event on Saturday April 12th at PAX East that involves Skullgirls. We'd like to get a list of 6-8 players, and it'll be narrowed down from there.

If you are chosen as one of the 4 players and you're not already attending PAX, you will be provided with a pass for the event, so you won't have to worry about paying for registration.

If you're interested and able to participate on that day, send me a PM with your email address and first/last name, and we'll contact you soon with more info.
UPDATE: We've officially stopped taking in new candidates. Thank you to all who volunteered.

I don't really know what metric to go by to determine who's a "high-level player", but I guess if you consider yourself a high-level player, then that's probably good enough.

Dude you can just crash at my place if you want. I didn't buy a hotel cause I live 30 minutes from the venue.

Oh wow, that sounds good! That would bypass a lot of the problems I was running into already.

I would love to go all days if available. I already stated, in my message to render, that I had a Saturday pass. I would love to help SG and L0 in anyway possible!
 
Heh I would love to help out, except I have no skill, or hotel to stay, or ticket to get in. As a matter of fact, I'm just posting because I live within an 8 hour drive of Boston. Actually, forget I even posted this.

Yeah, I live closer to Boston than the locals I drive to every week, but I have no pass or any idea if I would count as a high enough skilled player for whatever this is
 
It's sorta hard to know how much skill is needed without knowing what this is :x

I guess one thing you could do is post a video of a match or set you played and then render can judge for himself based on that whether or not you meet his qualifications.
 
Will the shining star "stuck-in-Boston" Uzumakihero prove his worth at the PAX battle royale? Only time will tell but catch it next time on Skullgrills Z.
 
Well I am currently living in Boston as a student. I am less than 15 minutes walking distance and already have that Saturday pass. I would record a match but no one plays on xbox/is available. Although we have not played in awhile, Mcpeanuts did meet me when I was pretty ass in the game when the PC version came out and I was able to adjust after getting my butt whooped several times. What I am saying here is that I would be glad to help but I don't have a means of showing my skill other than the words of people I have met (AKA Mcpeanuts and Icky).
 
If, you can procure a pass, and if someone's gracious enough to give me a ride, then sure :P

If you would be as kind as to pay for the flight from England, my hotel room (it's gotta be high standard, I won't settle for any of that peasant rubbish) and entry as well as any food I may want then I could probably play a match or 2 yeah

Yeah, I think that's the case with everyone so far. They just need to select the 4 that they're going to have participate

Its a shame that this is on the same weekend as the Team Stickbug monthly in NY but I guess that it can't be helped.
 
We haven't sent out emails yet, guys. Keep your pants on.

To be clear, when I say you've been "added to the list", you are being added to a list of candidates, and only 4 people will be chosen to participate. You'll be contacted very soon. I think I've got enough people on the list.

EDIT: I guess Icky already said that, so nvm.

Another thing we should make clear is that Lab Zero will probably not be making the call as to who gets chosen, but we are providing a 3rd party with a list of candidates who we think could represent the game well because they're good at it. :D

Do you know how they'll select people? Will they look up footage, or choose at random, or look at tournament results, etc. etc.?
 
Do we know what time the event is taking place?
