Not completely true. @Outlaw_Spike makes solo Val work pretty well. Any team is viable, you just might need to work harder with some teams.
This. And while I mean no disrespect to the OP, if he's still at the stage where he's asking what characters to use then the team composition probably isn't going to be the deciding factor in most matches. Particularly because he said he didn't like the idea of playing a team, I'd say start with solo Val and then once you've got a good feel for the game and Val's playstyle, THEN start worrying about maybe adding other characters. Not completely true. @Outlaw_Spike makes solo Val work pretty well. I agree with this, but once they choose who should be on his team, have val be on backup, so OP can learn the new character while at the same time learning how to use Val as an assist.This. When I was new, I also wasn't big on the idea of playing a team (my previous FG experience was some scrub level GGXX with roommates). Someone I play with frequently convinced me to learn a second character and get a team going; with one day of Bella experience, I was winning more with solo Bella than I was with solo Val after weeks; as soon as I said "ok, I've got a bit of a feel for Bella, time to put them on a team together and learn some team mechanics", I saw another instant huge boost to my winrate.This. HK Bypass as a high-risk fireball is useful for some point characters. For instance, at most ranges, Bella can turn that ground bounce into a combo on hit.DDB said:
