I, Too, wish to chronicle my exploits

yeah ok I fought fenster at like 5:13 am wow I can't inputs anymore; he said stuff. he's probably on the money about the duckator thing

gentle reminder to watch the duckator thing? when was the duckator thing oh wow. man who even plays the game who I can bug comfortably? I fought uzu the other day but I dont rmemeber where I put the notes?? did I record notes? oh no. I remember the jist of it though? notice patterns first, react second. easy

I might have to ask mike to play me later too because I don't know ohw I feel about fortune bella I tried fort bella against fenster without much practice and it might work but I will need to become more formidable because it felt really.. easy to tear me down and I had no baseline confidence.

eliza bella may hav ebeen better but I didnt record so I can ttell if I actually got good reads or confused him enough to get an opening

I feel like I can't open anyone up in skullgirls it's infuriating. if it was vsav I'd be much better but I am starting to notice a trend overall and Id ont think I like the way its heading and I might really want to see what people consider opening up because I don't understand **why** people get opened up in SG but it probably has to do a lot with hiding intent with assist applicatiuon but oh well I don't know these things or else Iw ouldn't bne typing it but it does sound like something to talk to a person with but I have that instnat reaction of "who do I ask and who do I feel comfortable with" and thats always a thing I ahve to deal with internally. oh well

I do like fort bella alot though im surprised I didn't try my original team earlier!? maybe it will work out a bit more fluidly than eliza bella but I dont think I can also put down eliza bella because it DOes work but without a salty local tournament I dont get to make judgments like that.

I also really think I don't like uh square gate too much because I find myself thinking im blocking mid but then I jump anyways and Id on't want that and that gets me in owrse situations than if I just actaully tried to block the right way with octogate and it's really infuriating because at one point I have used square gate before for a long while, but on the other I had octogate for 2yrs+ so it's easy to remember where things are and I using teh gate to TELL me whats going on, which is the point. I don't like knowing absolutely what my guard is and that sucks, but I don't want it to become a johns moment that ruins my actual skill.

but at least I have a job now, that has helped my pace of learning a lot and it feels like a lot of the actual mental fog is clearing from earlier.

If you are looking for the s.HK combo with fortune he was talking about, it's:

starter into s.HK(2) xx LK fiber
j.HP, adc, j.HP, MK axe kick,
c.MP, MK, HK(2), LK fiber,
j.LK, j.HP, MK axe kick,
LP, blah blah ender

It's nice because its universal, saves otg, and carries to corner with super.
 
I forget if it matters if you do sHK2 or sHK3 but it does matter if you end in sHP because it still does more damage, so that is worth noting.
sMK also has two hits.

cLK sMK2 sHK3 LFiber
jHP adc jHP MGato
cMP sMK2 sHK3 LFiber
jLK jHP MGato
sLP2 sLK sMPx sMK2 sHP HRekka3 CSF
 
You typically only want the second hit of s.HK because its the hit that pulls them in. If you do the 3rd hit, it'll push them away and it has a tendency of making fiber uppercut miss, especially if they were crouching.

I'm gonna try to give you some advice based on our set.

First off your team. I like it, but cerecopter doesn't really seem to do much for you so I'd stick w/ lnl. It's better as combo ender cuz only one hit, if your opponent blocks it you get the mix up, it's armor'd etc. In terms of your beo assist I like what you do w/ Chair Slide to help out your Eliza high low game so that's great. Not really sure what you're try to do w/ Blitzer, but I know you like to mess around w/ assist. So in terms of Beo either Chair Slide or Chair Toss, because I think a DP would really help. Not saying your defense is bad, but it helps to have ya know. Axe assist is fine.

You do a lot of hard knockdown set ups so you get oki, but I don't feel like you incorporate your assist enough like call axe go then go low. Or call chair slide, and then do j.HP > AD j.LK > j.HP string w/ Eliza.

With Eliza after you commit to a Sehkmet move you tend to jump alot after it to avoid getting throw, and I air threw you almost every time. I'm p sure this is mostly reflex. So try to relax after. Typically after blocking Sehkmet ppl (or at least me) are really scared about what to do next.

Uhh this is all I really have for now. Not sure if it's useful to you or not. I can play the game, but I'm not really good at explaining or talking about it. I want to help you improve tho.
 
You rely on sekhmet too much sometimes you even seem to use her during a blockstring I dunno if it's autopilot or if it's supposed to be a frametrap but even then you're going for an awful frametrap I mostly just snapped you because rather than call your assist to cover while you return you STILL tried to fight as sekhmet which is a bad idea considering what happened every match. All my characters have options against her other than throw, Fortune has nom or snap, Painwheel has buer or thresher robo just has snap (and magnet if you jump I guess) but she has the biggest snap in the game so it works out

You're always pressing buttons look at our set and count how many times I get a counterhit on you because you're always trying something this happens the most in the air like if I was a much better player you'd be dead so much faster. Most of the matches I lost I put down to "didn't bait enough". You call axe at really poor times in neutral I can just avoid it but on wakeup it always seems to come too late and I almost never have to block it try using it with a fake kanchou or something bella has so many dumb set ups adding axe shouldn't be too hard

I also got so many noms because you either pressed buttons fullscreen or just stopped blocking there's still some level of respect to give to the head unless you're hitting it but you didn't even do that much either

I'm also pretty sure that in the whole set I rarely had a need to reversal because the pressure is so weak usually I just found myself jumping over it or something

Honestly for the eliza duo copter is better since it makes sekhmet safer to return to eliza I dunno what to say about the trio I feel like it would be better to Eliza(I dunno what assist maybe dive)/Beo(H chair)/Bella(copter) but the way you have it isn't bad either it's just that (I think) Beo has some trouble in neutral as he doesn't move as fast and blitzer loses to assist all day so he'd be a much better second since his mixup game is pretty good and he doesn't need an otg to get a hard knockdown and this is where axe or dive or copter would be really really good
