I Want to Play the Way Pros Play!

So I had a long fight with @Zidiane and he whooped my ass so badly, but I think I could have had a chance to win if the ping wasn't in the way(and it was green). However, it wasn't just the ping, it was me. I was trying my best to beat Zidiane even when I knew I couldn't, but he always bested me. I knew he was doing repetitive moves that I could have blocked and avoided but for some reason I didn't use the tech I'm used to using like my ground resets or my crossunders(Painwheel's cross overs are very hard to perform with successful reseting), possibly because of Zidiane's status as an expert player. Even with his notoriety, I tried to get a red healthbar runback but was always unsuccessful and I had only won 1 game. Me: 1; Zidiane: +30? I don't exactly remember. So, how did I do, Zidiane? What did I do wrong and what, if anything, did I actually do right, and did you think I was legitimately trying my best(because I was thinking you were thinking I was trying my hardest to win)?
Edit: I forgot to mention Zidiane used almost every solo character against me. I'm just glad he did not pick Solowheel or I would have been livid, being beaten by your favorite character isn't a fun experience after all. Also, when I won that one game, was that a pity win?

Yeah, 1-30. I played FT5 with each character. One of your mistakes was mashing PW's lvl 3. Her lvl 3 is good, but it's not something you can just mash. Also, your frame traps with her s.hp armor can be really good, but you can't just do them. Especially against characters with command grabs. Don't back away from Peacock at the start of the match. I don't know much about what Painwheel can do against Peacock, most PWs just die, but flying low helps avoid hk bombs and gives more time to evade items I think. Doing j.hp charge (at least not as often as you did it) I don't think works against Cerebella, Squigly, Fortune (especially with 3 bars), and probably someone else.

You need more reset setups. You had like two, and both were pretty obvious. The ones I remember were launch, pause, jump grab. I think I teched that every time you did it. You didn't do any flight cancel grabs mid combo, those are good. You should do grounded grab/lows, save the s.hp charge for when you think they're mashing something. You didn't do any fly cancel blockstrings (like the blockstring, fly, overhead stuff), not that I remember, and that's good (I know Cerebella can punish it free with s.lk, others probably can too).

Also, you should probably find another character you can team with, if you want to do better. Painwheel is not the best solo character around, what with her best mobility option being completely vulnerable (fly). I don't even think Painwheel can even beat a good assisted Peacock, and there are other assists that'll shut down your flight or disable it's use as a getting in tool (Excellebella/A-train, updo/pillar, sing (probably), and others).

Yeah, it felt like you were trying to win. You didn't willingly give me anything in matches (most of the time), and towards the end of matches you'd always get desperate.

I can play Painwheel a tiny bit, but your Painwheel is probably better than mine. I can't reallt play Val, Painwheel, Parasoul, or Big Band. And no, the win you got on me wasn't a pity win. I think I was distracted momentarily during the match, but it wasn't a huge distraction. You won against Fukua.

Actually, I lied to you. If Painwheel does it right you can only punish with Dynamo. But I actually have never played a painwheel who didn't get stuffed with s.lk, so make of that what you will. According to the frame data, Painwheel has five frames not to get stuffed after s.hp, fly, j.lk. Against a character like Fortune with a five frame jab, though, it's more like 1 frame.
