So last night i went to Salty, and im pretty he sure you guys saw me on the stream playing against Renor, Wingzero, and Stuff, and today i was also in UOTS With Muro, and im not sure if you saw that, but i want you give some criticism and pointers that will help me out before i go to EVO so i dont Completely make a fool of myself.

No, put filia last, val with updo and copter can be a pain.
 
Val doesn't have good assists, but benefits a lot from them. There's (almost) no use taking her from the main position, even if she's not your main.

Rewatched our matches from the Global UOTS 1v1 tournament earlier today. There are a few hints I can give you based on that.

When you were blocking, you appeared to be tapping back, which caused accidental backdashes (no block on those) and wouldn't really be efficient under pressure. Hold back instead. Keep in mind that high blocks don't block low attacks. If the opponent is on the ground and you want to block, as a rule of thumb crouch block instead.

This is a little more character specific, but learn the range of Cerebella's grabs and try not to find yourself in those areas while not on the offensive. Also, jump a lot against her. If Cerebella notices you don't jump too much, she'll take advantage of it and merrygorilla/HERE-WE-GO you all over the place.

i hold back but it might be because im using a DS3 insted of stick. plus it might be cuz i have a tendency to try to push block a lot and i have the reflexes of an old man
 
Think of it this way: Your main isn't necessarily your point character. Some characters are stronger in different positions or, in Filia's case, perfectly good in any position (winkwinknudgenudge). Think of Val as Filia's opening act. With updo assist, Val is able to handily soften up just about any team so that, when it's time to bring out your main Filia and do some real work, your opponent will be more at your mercy.

Because Filia is a strong, independent amnesiac woman who don't need no assist.

Also, Shodan, don't ever get a big head. That's probably the cause of the majority of the follies in EVO.

tNo, but still, some people think they're the ultimate ship. But when I started playing casuals, I had a that one boss moment. And the same thing happened in encore playing quick matches, so i learned. do you want me to help you learn? You can use my psn thing.

sure why not? i only have Wingzero and Sanoblaze On there and the others who played dropped on me, so im always in need of partners.
