Backers of 2013's Keep Skullgirls Growing Indiegogo campaign are in for a treat; the digital Skullgirls soundtrack and art compendium have been updated to include the newest additions from the Skullgirls universe.
Backers who pledged $10USD or more can enjoy the updated Skullgirls Original Soundtrack, now bundled with Bath of Tefnut and Gehenna's music tracks. You can download the updated soundtrack by visiting humblebundle.com, logging in, navigating to My Library, and selecting "Skullgirls Contributor" under Other Purchases. The option to download the Skullgirls OST should be available to you!
Backers who pledged $81USD or more are able to peruse the updated Digital Art Compendium, containing concept art, wallpapers, talking heads, and frame dumps of every character in the game. This update adds Eliza's assets to the DAC, alongside fixing transparency issues with Filia/Fukua's eyes in their frame dumps. Also fixed were issues that prevented older versions of the compendium from being viewed or decompressed. You can download the updated compendium by visiting humblebundle.com, logging in, navigating to My Library, and selecting "Skullgirls Contributor" under Other Purchases. The option to download the DAC will be under eBooks.
Non-backers, fear not: Lab Zero has promised to release a "Disc 2" append to select digital retailers that sell the Skullgirls Original Soundtrack. This will occur once Skullgirls Encore's soundtrack is finalized after Robo-Fortune's release, so hang in there. Additionally, there are tentative plans to allow the public to purchase the Digital Art Compendium; when these plans manifest themselves into a buyable commodity, Skullheart'll cover it.
You can read the original Lab Zero announcement here, which also features some previously-unseen Eliza concept art!
Finally, if the updated soundtrack isn't quite enough to sate your musical thirst, consider heading over to Skullgirls co-composer Blaine McGurty's soundcloud and check out the work he's done for Skullgirls over the last couple years! In addition to the main menu music, character select theme, and a sizable amount of storymode incidental tracks, he's also posted the Fukua reveal trailer theme in full and a groovy unused Skullgirls track with a disco motif. Give him your love!
