Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

Cat Z is so hard.

I'm sure the actual reason that it's so hard is that it pretty much one-shots one of your characters if you don't pay attention, and one-shotting a character means it automatically makes any heal less useful (because there are only two states: alive or dead and no "in between", a heal works best when there's an "in between") unless you're blocking properly, in which case it only allows you more chances at blocking properly until it eventually dies.
But that's okay and not unfair because it's up to you to pay attention and block attacks correctly to get that "in between" state in which your heal will actually be useful, which is why they can make crazy hard enemies without relying on RNG.

I'm not sure how beginners would react to that kind of situation though, seeing as people are already having problems figuring out there's a heal at all, or should I say problems with exploring the game mechanics at all.

healing stuff
I thought Razmi's lvl 3 could resurrect dead party members? Of course, you still have to defend Razmi. And Ajna. Really inconvenient, having my two most critical party members lined up like that. Can't help but think that was on purpose...

Razmi's lvl 3 did Rez, with, if I recall right, 50% health. Plus honestly, why "Targeted"? If heal spells are going to carry over to Official like they are now, then all Healing won't be scaled when split up like most RPGs when you Multi-target healing.

Regarding healing, I hope that healing is available outside of using super. Not as strong or with group healing as Razmi's but something that doesn't seem to make the super meter become the heal meter.
(then again, I'm assuming they have a plan for it in the final game if it gets funded)

That would be busted.
Like very small heals that don't build meter.
It's probably just my playstyle, but I don't ever want to spend meter on damaging combos if I feel like I'm gonna need a heal at any moment.

Razmi's level 3 revives. Ajna's barehanded super revives at any level.

The problem is that if healing is restricted to meter then what's the usefulness of using a lvl3 super? That's what you should consider.

I'll admit, the Proto's current system, I rather not spend meter for the Super attacks... They are nice, but seem.. lack luster... I guess the best wording I'd use.. I'd rather save the meter for Razmi's heal, so I'd rarely, if ever, actually used the meter for anyone else =\

The small enemies that you can just axe to death outside of combat are effectively health pickups- simply get into a fight, and then kill them before they get a chance to hurt you. Voila, you're healed a smidge. Find a respawning fight, and you get easy Iddhi.

You mean mike.

Healing is already restricted to meter, anyway, with or without it coming exclusively from a super.

Sorry, I meant for the finished product.

I guess a possible difference between Thorani and Razmi could be that Razmi is more offensive with her heal being more of a backup thing and Thorani being more healing based and less offensive.

Offensive supers in the prototype are way under-powered. If you're gonna forgo your only method of healing, you should be getting a hell of a lot more than a few thousand damage. If I blow 3 meter, I want that to fucking HURT. I think this is something Mike and gang would successfully tune during full development, though, so I'm not that worried about it.

I can bet Vasco's super is like some kind of super scope.

I understand the design decision of diminishing returns in healing Iddhi attacks (to allow emergency heals to be more efficient and not force people to save 3 meters for anything short of a Razmi revive). But why do the offensive ones also suffer from that?

lv1 - fan the hammer x3

lv2 - fan the hammer x3, spin all cool-like, fan the hammer x3

lv3 - toss a single round into the air, fan the hammer x3, spin all cool-like, fan the hammer x3, eject casings and catch airborne round in the cylinder in one smooth motion, spin the cylinder, wrist-flick the cylinder closed, say something bad ass like, "lead always beats steel," and then fire a powered-up final shot

edit: added dopeness if the lv3 only has a 1/6 chance of firing the last shot, but has a x6 damage boost

Can you make a deep, western voice Kai?

I'm loving this current momentum on the campaign. Unfortunately, I think the "on schedule" amount would have to be like, $600k by the end of tomorrow, so we're still pretty far behind. But hey, even some of the more controversial news that's popping up now is at least helping the game get exposure.

Now that the campaign is getting more push though, I'm seeing a lot more "BAWW it's on IGG" comments popping up in places. Wtf. I can understand people living in countries that have issues with Paypal, but a lot of these excuses are just stupid. How can gamers be so lazy that they can't even be bothered to click buttons on a website, but then have the nerve to turn around and expect game developers to be ambitious, innovative, and completely organized about every single detail? Urrgh! I used to think Homer Simpson was a fictional character, y'know!

Yeah, I think this is bizarre. Like, how fuckin' lazy do you have to be to not want to spend 60 seconds signing up for a website? Hell, it only took me 10 seconds, because I registered with Facebook.

If you divide 1,130,000 which is what we still need by 25 days you get 45k daily.

We might have to spread the word a bit more.

In looking at all the images from all the characters who are incarnations from the trailer, what character has the giant mecha glove, I can't seem to see who it goes to or maybe it belongs to the Knight guy in which would be badass.

This is not really how crowdfundings work, though. I think the pace we're going at, with a the big push at the end, is ok. I'm a bit worried but I think we're doing ok.
But yeah, spreading the word is always good.

Or it might be STEAMPUNK GUY'S

I swear, for how we're calling these characters while they have no names, it seems like we're talking about some silly plot narrated by Stamper.

I sure hope that last week push hits hard

spread it like it's a bad rash on a sweaty bum.

okay bad terminology

but you still get the idea

they revealed Yan yesterday and we're almost halfway through to the Rider reveal already!

because your alternative to one 3-meter super is three 1-meter supers, and since the character you use a super with recharges his ATB *super* slow, using 3-meter supers may actually be much more efficient despite diminishing returns

sigh. missing/partially missing limbs on dude. cool. see narssus. missing limbs on girl. sad T_T. can't get over her lack of arms. I hope her story involves using the milk to get arms or something.
I'm curious to hear your reasoning for this!

Day 2345:
-I haven't seen the Aztec Incarnation reveal yet.
-I'm running out of food.

I looked through the trailer again at the lowest speed and Steam punk guys disappears before the you can actually see the mecha glove and really the only person I can see it belonging to is serpent/dragon/leviathan knight guy because the glove disappears after SDL Knight guy goes.

Although the mecha fist could be maybe it's own thing and I am missing details because it took me a while to piece that Amazon ladies weapon was both the arrow and spear but if it is Knight guy then that is still cool.

Also because it is sort of obligatory for me at this point, get hype of Naga Rider.

The nicknames thing is also great, mad hype for the team of Pirate lady, Riderman and Battle Nun.

Now that Mike Z streamed cat I can finally post this!
Part of the reason I played this battle the way I did was to go over some of the game's mechanics. If I missed something you think I should add, please tell me.
